Schöppou (DJ/Producer) – Biography

Behind the artist name Schöppou stands Marcel Schöpperle, born in Freiburg and raised in the sun-drenched city of Kehl (Ortenaukreis, Germany). At the age of 15, his passion for techno was sparked with his first small home studio. That’s where he began experimenting, composing, and shaping his very own sound.

What started as a simple hobby soon evolved into a professional journey – driven by his perfectionism and deep love for music – leading him to produce his own original tracks.

Within the colorful diversity of the club scene, Schöppou quickly found his musical home. His straight-forward techno style has become distinctive and continues to attract an ever-growing fanbase, especially in the Germany / France / Switzerland border region, where his bookings steadily increased.

When the well-known Techno-Bunker Freiburg was looking for fresh talents, Schöppou caught their attention and soon became a resident DJ, opening new doors in the scene. Clubs such as Drifters, Hans-Bunte-Areal, KGB, Crash, and Harmony Cellar have since become regular stops in his musical journey.

Festival appearances at events like the Seayou Festival and Grenzenlos Festival further cemented his presence and recognition within the techno community. In 2018, another milestone followed with his involvement at the Next Club in Strasbourg, where his energetic and consistent style helped him solidify his position as a respected name in the scene.

Depending on the gig, Schöppou’s sound can be harder, more melodic, or more soulful – yet always defined by a unique symbiosis of bass, emotion, and atmosphere.

Over the years, he has shared the stage with numerous respected artists such as Adam Beyer, Enrico Sangiuliano, Nelix, Zakari & Blange, Klanglos, Daniel Hermann, Robust Forty-Two, Naomi Black, Silvano Scapeta, Marsi, Miss Dark, Bruchrille, Decker, and many more.

In mid-2025, the renowned music collective and label Oxytoxy discovered Schöppou – marking another important milestone in his artistic career. Through this collaboration, he gained new creative impulses and further refined his musical identity.

Laguna Festival – Hungary

Another defining highlight in Schöppou’s career was his performance at the Laguna Festival in Hungary – an event known for its unique atmosphere, strong sense of community, and deep connection between artists and crowd.

Sharing the stage with artists such as James Wesson, Adam King, Norvis, Newest, Tom Holy, Inline, and Mattheus, Schöppou delivered a powerful and emotionally driven set that perfectly matched the spirit of the festival.

The experience stood out not only musically, but also on a personal level. The Laguna Festival represents more than just a lineup – it is a gathering where people come together as one, creating a family-like atmosphere through music. This performance further strengthened Schöppou’s presence within the international underground techno scene and deepened his connection to a wider audience.

Istanbul – First International Appearance

A significant international milestone followed with Schöppou’s first performance in Istanbul, Turkey. Stepping onto the stage in one of Europe’s most vibrant cultural metropolises marked a new chapter in his artistic journey.

The energy of the city – where East meets West – perfectly resonated with his powerful and driving techno sound. In front of an open-minded and passionate crowd, Schöppou delivered an intense warehouse-driven set that reflected both his precision and his emotional depth as a DJ.

This debut in Istanbul not only expanded his reach beyond the German-French-Swiss border region, but also strengthened his international profile. The performance proved that his sound transcends borders – connecting people through rhythm, atmosphere, and raw techno energy.

With this first appearance in Turkey, Schöppou added another defining highlight to his career, underlining his steady evolution from regional talent to internationally recognized techno artist.

Today, Schöppou is considered an established part of the southern German and Alsatian techno scene – an artist who stands out for his passion, precision, and an unshakable sense for energy and vibe.

Der Fornix ist eine Struktur des Limbischen Systems im Großhirn.

Funktionell ist er an der Einspeicherung von Gedächtnisinhalten vom Kurzzeit- in das Langzeit-Gedächtnis beteiligt und spielt somit eine Rolle beim Lernen.

Er leitet keine spezifische Information, sondern selektiert und moduliert die Funktion der Hippocampusformation durch verschiedene Neurotransmitter (Dopamin, Noradrenalin, Serotonin und Acetylcholin).
