if you listen to a track of mine all i ask is that you listen to the whole thing or at least past the halfway point. because i tend to make my tracks mutate and i always mutate up, not down. meaning that the end of a track is always more interesting (heavier, slower, faster, more intricate, even a totally different genre in some cases) than the beginning. i like cut timing 4 on the floor tracks. i like double timing 2-step tracks. i like tempo modulation. i like surprises such as sudden changes, unexpectedly long build-ups into abrupt drops into completely different genres. i like teasing up coming sounds, melodies and rhythms. basically, wut i'm saying is that if you're a "listen to the first 30 seconds of a track and hit next" listener then you're more than likely going to miss the best part of a track. that goes for most songs, from EDM to bluegrass. a song is a journey to be experienced from the beginning to the end. you don't go on vacation to a new, potentially dope beach spot with potentially sick surf opps without having to wait your turn for a tasty wave only to stop a 1/4 of the way there and instead head back to the same old dirty ass, nasty, crowded beach with wimp status waves and inexperienced groms lined up to try to catch the next one only to watch them eat it and u have to either wait for a life guard to save them or save them yourself, do you? nah. same concept but this is free and much easier. when writing a song, unlike some artists (which is fine if that's how they wanna ruin the world) i don't come out with guns blazing. i build you up to a point and when that point comes then it's ham:30 but if you only give a track a 30 second chance then you might as well move on because there's nothing here that you'll like. 

stretch that attention span a bit. enjoy the moment that you're in. you'll be glad you did, trust me.   -some random dude on the internet.
