LOVE is such a big word, I really dont know what to say about it.. When I'm surrounded by my friends i feel comfortable. they give the feeling of beeing a part of something beautiful. I guess this is love for me.

I have a talent for remembering things that are soooo not important.. really i know a lot of useless things!

YUUL KIN en el idioma maya, significa rayo y sol, el cual transmite la transcendencia del día. El rayo de sol indica el inicio, siendo una guía para poder encontrar nuestro camino a través de la música.
La música es un idioma universal, nos permite contar historias mediante un lenguaje que a todos nos hace viajar y sentir cada momento en función a la transición de los sonidos, el presente.

Este EP representa el paso cenital que nos acompaña en nuestro paso por la armonía solar y así mismo nos muestra que vamos de camino al futuro sin perder nuestras raíces.

YUUL KIN in the Mayan language, means ray and sun, which transmits the transcendence of the day. The sunbeam indicates the beginning, being a guide to find our way through music.
Music is a universal language, it allows us to tell stories through a language that makes us all travel and feel each moment based on the transition of sounds, the present. This EP represents the zenithal passage that accompanies us in our passage through solar harmony and likewise shows us that we are on our way to the future without losing our roots.

Cooltown (Scott Robert Vorel) is an American West Coast DJ and producer, known for his love of video games, Yellow brand & Progressive Funky Beats. With over a decade of experience in the industry, he has become a staple in the Pacific Northwest nightlife scene.

Born and raised in Portland, Cooltown began playing flute, guitar and drums at a young age. He quickly developed a passion for Techno, Electronica & Trance and began raving & spinning in Southern California in 2009.  Attending multiple Insomniac Events and drew massive inspiration from this central EDM hub.

Over the years, Cooltown has honed his craft and developed a unique style that blends Techno, Funk & House Music with influences from Headhunterz, Mord Fustang, Adam K & Soha, Deadmau5 & Tiësto with a splash of Funk, Tech & Groove. 
His sets are known for blending all genres of EDM with seamless transitions and always up to date with the latest releases from around the world, and he has built a loyal fanbase that spans around the globe.

Cooltown's career has taken him to some of the biggest clubs and festivals on the west coast including The Gorge, NOS Event Center, The Whiskey Bar, No Vacancy, The Underground & Ora and is now a resident DJ at Opaline in the heart of Downtown Portland. He has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Myon, Oliver Smith, Genix, TyDi, Kyau & Albert, Fatum, Marsh, Simon Doty, Gabriel & Dresden, Wassu,  Gardenstate, Amy Wiles, Elevven & more…

In addition to DJing, Cooltown is also the founder of Team Yellow Events, hosting parties and booking talent in the Pacific Northwest.  He is committed to curating a safe space for DJ/Producers to share their life’s work in an intimate one of a kind experience.  

Cooltown continues to push the boundaries of Melodic House & Techno and he shows no signs of slowing down. He is currently working on his second album, and listeners and fans can expect only the best in Progressive Funky Beats in all his future releases.
