In the late ‘90s, it’s very rare that you wouldn’t find me record shopping at 9-12 St. Annes Court. I would make a pilgrimage there every week and hope to pick up all the current anthems that were getting dropped at Escape From Samsara and Pendragon. If I was lucky, I would hear a sneak peak of the latest banger being written in the adjacent studio.
The in-house music produced there is without doubt my favourite of the UK scene at the time - the Acid Trance being pumped out by Choci and his various labels really epitomised the underground clubbing scene in London and was the soundtrack to the best days of my life...
Researching, sourcing, compiling and sequencing this mix has been a real labour of love for me and I hope you can hear that passion and admiration I have for the music come through in the mix.

This is a re-recording of a set I played at my friends' Andy & Lizzie's 25th anniversary party back in July. I first met Andy and Lizzie when they came to our first Rampage night at the Wee Red Bar in Edinburgh all the way back in February 2001, and we've been great friends ever since! This set was a throwback to the kind of high-impact hard house / hard trance sets I used to play at Rampage, and I played at the party on digital, using recordings I made from my record collection ... then I got home and re-recorded it on vinyl! I'm a DJ and producer that started spinning records back in 1998. I had the best days of my life in the London club scene at events such as Escape From Samsara, Pendragon, Trancentral and Frantic.
Over the years I have played alongside Lab4, Andy Farley, Mark EG, Chris Liberator, Sterling Moss, Beamish, Jace, Tara Reynolds, Ephexis and Alek Száhala. 
I also co-ran an event called Synthetic at Club 414 in Brixton during the early '00's.

Known for his ferocious, darker sound, Kane has played various gigs across New Zealand and has rubbed shoulders with some of Aotearoa's best Hard House DJs including Serum, Disturbed, Manik, High Dosage, Abbra, and RP.

Offered the chance to venture further into darkness, Kane played at Disturbed Nation in Wellington in an age long ago, supporting Hard House heavy weights Wayne Smart and the notorious Grady G.

In the past, Kane has also supported Hard House & NRG legends Steve Ryan, Butcher Boy (UK) and Narc (AU), while also opening for the legendary Eamonn Fevah and Jody6 in 2011, then closing for Hard Trance legend Carl Nicholson at Soundscape 2012 as Trainwrex, alongside Gareth Briffault.

Originally drawn to electronic music through Trance in the late '90s, Kane’s hunger for something darker led him to Hard House and NRG in 2002. From there, his sets became a showcase of raw intensity. High energy, no compromise.

While it’s been a while since playing out, the love for the music has never faded. The energy, the sound, and the passion still run deep. These days you'll find Kane on the dancefloor each year at London Hard House Reunion.

American in Berlin! I've been a dj since 1997, playing across a wide range of dance music genres, as you can see from the variety of mixes. I love it all!
