THIS highly recommended Electro club-mix UNDER THE SpyInTheHouse RADAR, broadcasted via Cologne's own 674FM, and still supported by Psycho Thrill Cologne 🔴 feat. Berlin's incredible ELECTRO-fying PALOMA resident Finn Johannsen (POWER HOUSE / Paloma BLN)‼️

It's not often that I play/listen to a DJ mix "on heavy rotation" multiple times, and over several days at a time. However, Finn Johannsen's mix here is one of those lucky cases or breaks that the electronic music deejay genre doesn't offer every day. To summarize briefly, Johannsen is precisely that relevant subject matter expert who masterfully illuminates the 808 bass genre, usually framed by Kraftwerk and Detroit Electro/TechnoBass/Hi-TechFunk, in his own more "cutting-edge" way, with Drum-N-Bass/Breaks, Jit, GhettoTech, and plenty of classic Disco, Funk, and Pop cues. Not many can do this in that way! 

And added to that - you can hear it immediately - this offers tons of passion for the subject, meticulous track knowledge, and an equally credible sense of mission, which, given the intensive engagement with the subject itself (right down to the complete track listing), and the resulting loss of personal life, sleep, and energy, which is usually never sufficiently acknowledged. But that honors the creator of this mix all the more, who originally recorded this one for the Sea/Side Crew in Helsinki. Johannsen then immediately sets things straight, even in terms of genre diversity, with a quote that is both sympathetically understandable: "A(nother) reason was that I was working at Hard Wax then and often overheard people in the store disrespecting the genre, mostly because they claimed the sound palette of Electro was too limited to really matter in terms of musicianship. I did not agree with that." 

Which, at this point and with this mix, simply as FU**, brings it to a self-explanatory, significant, unfortunately otherwise overused point. The rest is called merely "Highly Recommended," starting with Detroit's own DJ Dez Andres' beautiful "The Sweetest Pain" and culminating in the crowning finale after over three hours of mixing with a fantastic, Jit-Beat-laden "My Life My Passion" edit of Joe Jackson's great Synth-Pop classic "Steppin Out"! I'm sure I'm not the only one crying tears of gratitude. Thank you, Finn, for this!  (Claus Bachor / SITH)

With "SpyInTheHouse" he now returns after 10 years into the “radio business” on a regular basis, where he had been mediating the essentials of electronic music for years between the Techno/House main cities such as Detroit, Chicago or Berlin via "Evosonic" (1997 - 1999) and Cosmium Radio (1999 - 2002). Something that currently wasn’t that easy.

So "SpyInTheHouse" continues to follow the path of enthusiastic overtones and stands simply for the democracy of the so-called "cutting edge" tracks of House, Techno, Acid, Broken Beat and IDM that do sometimes leave the usual club microcosm according to the motto "Take the best from the past and move the next step 4ward into the future!"

Just figuring this thing out bear with me

With parents who really loved the music in the 70’s / 80’s it wasn’t really complicated for Joel to fall in love with the music genres of these periods. As a kid for him it was a bunch of years to search and discover through the gigantic records collection some of the most fantastic and rare masterpiece of these decades. Nowadays these memories bring back a new kind of creation for him.
Music lover, DJ, producer Joel is active in the electronic music genre for more than 15 years.
All has begun with The Badgers back in 2002 with two second hand Technics turntables. He was party manager of big electronic music festivals in the east of France and after that he started to produce some dark techno / minimal tracks with his best friend as The Badgers.
After numerous music productions during more than 10 years in the dark techno / minimal branch with the Badgers (Creepy Finger Rec, Plankton Repellent, Momentum League, Killing Machine Rec. and many more) Joel decides to make a solo project to explore the another creative side of his personality, deeper and funkier.
“Nasty Preacher” is the new born of this choice.
“Nasty” was how some people portrayed the music his influences. “Preacher” is a nod to James Brown.
There is only one objective, to create a good workout for your hips…

Male signer/songwriter/producer : Ninjedo and female singer/songwriter/producer : Tranceferia, friends since childhood, come together to formFashion Police^five hundred and seventy third House*. Since first lockdown, the creation (on average) of about 2 to 8 songs a week with very few breaks through a unique process resembling poetic musical scrabble along with classic standard recording has become a one of a kind process.

Hartmut Kiss has been working as a DJ for over 30 years, having been a resident at Tiffany (1993-2000), then at Cult-Neukirchen (from 2000), Nachtcafe-Leipzig (15 years), Staupitzbad-Döbeln, and many others.
Through the artist agency "Dusted Decks," he expanded his sphere of influence to include virtually all of the region's renowned clubs.
Guest appearances at Boom Rave, Sputnik Springbreak, SMS, and numerous other festivals followed, confirming his almost magical connection with his audience.
His first releases under his own label (Homework Records) were followed by several EPs, remixes, and, to date, one album under Christian Fischer's music label "BRYZANT."
