While some send monies and letters back to other parents and over time it stops, other children,  may abruptly move on in life.  It leads behind broken parents whom gave everything including their savings to pay for a education only to be rewarded with abandonment, a form of elder abuse.  Many live in extreme poverty or are homeless and other drown out their sorrow with alcohol or drugs.  While the song looks at the Philippines this occurs in many nations of the world. - English version

I'm a 61 year old born and raised in Canada.  My parents were both Austrian (Europe).  I'm married and my wife was born and raised in Luzon, Philippines.  Since 1997 I also live in the Philippines.  I have many interests: motorcycles, ebikes and bikes, horses, agri-forestry, computers, writing, song-writing, Chinese-Donghua (and some Japanese-Anime), inventions, doing the impossible, repairing things, projects, esoteric and much more.  While many take one path in life I love exploring and the roads seldom used.

Sure, I could have gone after the things I loved, but I felt the responsibility, so off around the world I went.  That was truly amazing, too.  But always tapping on my shoulder was the desire to write.  So I kept at it, just never doing anything with it.

Jumping forward to the here and now - I’m doing it.  Writing, composing, arranging, and editing.  I hope you enjoy it, give me your thoughts, and share it with others.
