The third compilation (of four instalments) in the Various Artists catalogue of Pi Electronics is hitting physical and digital stores around the globe on the 10th of February 2023.

The concept of releasing artists, who performed at π parties (2014-2019) along with musicians who stood close to the label before and during its activity, gathers 18 tracks to the Limitation Compilation.

A crossroad of different genres and production styles is offered in the formats of Double Vinyl Sampler, Double CD and digital for this compilation, titled “Limitation”.

프랑스 출신으로 현재 베를린을 기반으로 전 세계에서 활동하고 있는 Hypnotic Black Magic(이하 HBM)은 서브 컬쳐의 하위 장르인 최면적(Hypnotic) 테크노를 전문적으로 다루는 디제이로, 어두운 분위기와 서사적인 테마를 통해 인간의 가장 깊고 모호한 생각을 이끌어내는 내면적 여정을 안내한다. 그녀는 또한 유럽 전 지역에서 열리고 있는 Art Bei Ton의 주최자로, 유명 아티스트들 뿐만 아니라 여성과 퀴어 아티스트들을 조명하며 차별에 맞서는 활동을 하고 있다. 그녀는 베를린으로 이주하며 자유 선언, DIY 정신 등 베를린 서브-컬쳐 씬이 지닌 정체성에서 영감을 받아 자신이 사랑하는 음악과 커뮤니티를 돕기 위한 자신만의 활동을 시작하였다. Always inspired by nostalgic and trippy electronic sounds since her early teenagehood, she has now developed their music taste around the niche subgenre hypnotic techno. Collecting tracks with a preference for powerful rhythmics, deep baselines, loopy atmospheric pads, epic themes or dark atmospheres, HBM’s construct her sets to guide the audience through a particular musical journey - captivating their minds for an introspective travel through human's deepest obscure thoughts, meditative states and sensual expressions.
Beginning to explore outdoor free parties in south of France at the age of 16, before moving to Berlin at 18, HBM has always been fascinated by this particular subculture. Absorbed by its statement of freedom, its DIY concept and the supportive community around, she decided to start her own event series to help the artists she likes to find a space to express themselves.
Since 2018, she is organising events through Art Bei Ton and Ambient Sleepers, featuring hypnotic techno/ambient music together with visual arts. Their aims is to promote diverse international artists within gender-balanced line ups, focusing of offering safe space for flinta* and queer artists to perform.
Based in Berlin, but also traveling around, HBM had the chance to play at some venues like Griessmühle and ://about blank in Berlin, VENT in Tokyo, Gare in Porto, Vurt. in Seoul, Ciało in Wroclaw, Monument Festival in Norway and many other cities such as New York, Medellin, Tbilisi, Lisbon, Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Bangkok, Brussels, Montreal, Istanbul or Athens.
Played alongside: Dasha Rush, Electric Indigo, Claudio PRC, Luigi Tozzi, Neel, Blazej Malinowski, Mary Yuzovskaya, Aleja Sanchez, Joachim Spieth, Justine Perry and many more.

Electronic artist and producer Khalab has garnered international recognition for his unique blend of traditional African sounds, deep bass work, jazz, and densely layered electronic textures. His musical journey is a seamless progression, spanning from the roots of ancient tribes to the uncharted territories of the cosmos, from the jungle to the chaotic bustle of urban metropolises, and from the deepest recesses of the subconscious to the farthest and most realistic projections of future Africa. Khalab's musical philosophy centers on the fusion of tradition and evolution, synthesizing universal languages and exploring the electronic realm with a shamanic, groovy, and dark approach. These are the key elements that define his musical style. 
Collaborating in the years with great artists like Shabaka Hutchings, Moses Boyd, Tenderlonious, Rocio Molina, Yazz Ahmed, Joshua Idehen & more, Khalab is associated with prominent record labels such as Black Acre, Wonderwheel Recordings, and Real World Records. His brand new album ‘Layers’ was released last August via his own label Hyperjazz Records.
