Yes yes people KING HENRY is back from holidays and straight back in the studio with local selector Narainee ahead of the Pure Space takeover at Chinese Laundry tonight. 

Narainee is a Gadigal-based DJ and emerging producer, weaving together electronic sounds that span deep trancey basslines, dubby and dark textures, paired with acidic, electric squelches. 

Driven by a deep belief in the power of community, Narainee lives by the ethos that the best way to be part of something is to contribute to it. 

Off the decks, you’ll find her scanning tickets at a warehouse or handing out orange slices mid-boogie, always tuned into the collective energy of the dancefloor.

Her curiosity and commitment led to the birth of Narainee is a Gadigal-based DJ and emerging producer, weaving together electronic sounds that span deep trancey basslines, dubby and dark textures, paired with acidic, electric squelches. 

Driven by a deep belief in the power of community, a mix series designed to shake artists out of their creative comfort zones. 

Each guest is given a unique prompt (from genre limitations to playful mixing restrictions) encouraging exploration and boundary-pushing curations of sound. 

Through Exit Loop, Narainee uplifts other artists while continuing to challenge herself, keeping things moving forward, because that’s what it’s all about.

KineticTheory is a talented female DnB artist known for her deep, dark, and heavy sounds in Jungle, Dancefloor, and Neurofunk drum and bass.

She blends hip-hop and house vocals into her music, creating a unique and energetic experience. Coming from the underground music scene, KineticTheory constantly pushes the boundaries of drum and bass with her intricate basslines and pulsating rhythms.

Supporting many international names such as Chase & Status, DJ Marky, Netsky, Mollie Collins, Koven, Pendulum, Zeke Beats and home grown talent Royalston, her track selections are deeply emotive, weaving together seamlessly with thoughtful and intentional sequencing.

Her performances are intense and immersive, captivating audiences with every set.

YES YES PEOPLE, this week we're back in the studio with Jesse, one half of the legendary duo X CLUB. ahead of Mode Fest at Cockatoo Island tomorrow, expect an hour of bass heavy techno stompers to get your weekend started!!

Inspired by early 90s techno all the way through to future-facing drum’n’bass, X CLUB., the dance production duo of Ben Clarke and Jesse Morath, have carved out a space entirely their own thanks to their authentic and eclectic take on dance music.

Currently based in London, X CLUB. counts the likes of Steel City Dance Discs, Lobster Theremin and StayOnSight as homes for their releases already. 

Quickly emerging from sharehouses in Meanjin/Brisbane and onto the international stage, X CLUB.’s buzz as one of the hottest dance acts to watch at home and abroad is the result of friendship, authenticity, and of course, hard n’ fast tracks. 

A key part of a burgeoning collective of artists in their home of Meanjin and around Australia the duo make their presence known on the international stage alongside Skin on Skin, JamesJamesJames, Mutant Joe, Crush3d, Juicy Romance, Pretty Girl and many more. 

Fans can expect anything from a sombre and reflective vocal-driven trance track to allout techno assaults; drum’n’bass heaters to pensive and poignant introspection — all within the same record.
