Lancer begins to have second thoughts about humoring the Lightners, and calls off the tournament. With no hope of them returning to their home worlds, they spread out across the Dark World and find a place to call their own. Barney has a premonition of what will happen if this imbalance between light and dark persists, and brings it upon himself to get the gang back together.

Kirby is the Alphys replacement. Kirby’s been more and more at odds with a certain showboat ever since they battled in the tournament. That masked man has only spiraled further in his ego trip since then, so it’s needless to say Kirby’s very happy to reunite with Barney, and is eager to help him through the Scarlet Forest.
