AFTER MUSHROOM-224BPM feat SHAHA & MAGIC MIND

Substrata is four-hour ambisonic sound installation coinciding with the exhibition "Into The Night Land" at Eyedrum Gallery in July '25. Composed of field-recordings, use of seismic instruments, and numbers stations, the work was played through 8 speakers placed around the ceiling of the room and 2 monitors at the rear of the gallery.

Bio
Based in Tokyo, he is a producer/DJ and a member of the producer collective COSMOPOLYPHONIC. Currently, together with fellow member RLP, he hosts COOL RADIO. He has released two EPs on the London label BREAKER BREAKER, a split EP with Fujimoto Tetsuro on Tokyo’s Diskotopia, as well as singles and remixes on Cape Town’s 8below. His work has also appeared on compilations from Copenhagen’s Tartelet Records, Singapore’s Darker Than Wax, Shanghai’s Eating Music, and Tokyo’s dublab.jp, showcasing a body of work that transcends genres and borders.

Psychotic Surge: An Anti-Musical Cartography

Between Rio de Janeiro's humid nights and the Bay Area's electric fog emerges a sonic territory that refuses naming. Psychotic Surge inhabits the threshold where structured rhythm dissolves into controlled chaos, where the predictable becomes uncanny. Here, experimental improvisations capture fleeting auras—each recording a unique fingerprint of temporal collapse, where early acid techno memories bleed into orchestral synthetic dreams, noise becomes prayer, and minimal compass constraints birth maximal expression.|

This is not music seeking approval but sound demanding participation. Like thought before language, these compositions exist in the space between intention and accident, where repetition becomes difference and structure emerges from its own undoing. The project traces a geography of becoming—each track a deterritorialized moment where voices merge with synthesizers not to communicate but to invoke presence itself. Concrete-musique fragments scatter across avant-garde landscapes, creating soundscapes that remember futures and anticipate pasts.

Listen not to understand but to inhabit. Each track opens a clearing where being precedes meaning, where the ear becomes an organ of ontological investigation. Enter these sound-worlds as you would enter memory—sideways, vulnerable, ready to be transformed. The psychotic surge event is not performance but ritual participation in the moment's aura, an invitation to dissolve the boundary between listener and listened. Here, in the grey area where music questions its own existence, you're called to witness sound's capacity to reveal what language conceals—the raw pulse of existence before it learns to speak. Engage these recordings as maps to territories that exist only in their crossing, where each listen births a new geography of sensation.

With a focus on introducing adventurous music, building creative networks domestically and internationally, and fostering collaboration across diverse fields, MIMINOIMI aims to bring these goals to life even further. Along with producing live shows and talk events, MIMINOIMI is launching the ”MIMINOIMI podcast”.

In the post-pandemic era and the age of streaming, the diversity of online music platforms has reached new heights. In this context, the "MIMINOIMI podcast" serves as an experimental space that complements live events, supporting new forms of music distribution, connection, and development.

The podcast will feature a range of content, including ambient mixes by DJs, intimate music selections from musicians’ bedrooms, and various discussions and interviews related to sound and music. These will be shared from multiple angles on SoundCloud.

Minerals Studio+ is a design studio and multi-media label for music that is forward-thinking, minimalist and direct. Established in the summer of 2016 by Andre Futrell, the label features cutting-edge artists, composers, electronic and acoustic musicians, visual and graphic designers, and vocalists which represent the depth and dimension of the “Soul Tech” movement. Inspired by nature, crystals and indigenous rhythms, Minerals Studio+ produces new palettes of soulful electronic sounds influenced by many genres.
