Go East, Young Adventurer is a thoughtstream in five transmissions—a bootlegged record of a mind peeling away the layers of itself. An odyssey in sound, philosophy, and machine rhythm, this album maps a journey through self, illusion, realization, and release—a late-night transmission across space, time, and radio waves.

The grand illusion of autonomy. From Hume to Skinner, an interrogation of the self as system, a sequence of conditioned responses, all set to a relentless mechanical groove.

The Western enlightenment reaches its precipice. From Jung to Timothy Leary, from the Butterfly Dream to the void of self. Psychedelic pulses, heavy acid basslines, the mind peeling open.

Philosophy gives way to wisdom—King Wen, Confucius, Laozi, Mencius. A rhythm of understanding, meditative and immersive, the beat dissolving the self.

A lost signal on a long drive—an unlicensed broadcast across California, ghost frequencies bouncing through The Grapevine, Altamont Pass, Yosemite. FCC intercepts the cleanest version, capturing the final transmission.

Mijk's Magic Marble Box - Spring - The Wildlife was released in 1996 on Superstition Records and was another milestone in Mijk van Dijk's Magic Marble Box project. Anchored in melodic techno but leaning into trance, the EP opens up a textural realm of sound with warm, dynamic grooves paired with airy synth lines and rhythmic wavers that feel as alive as ever. The title track carries a natural lightness, while the remixes by Steve Bug and Mijk himself emphasize the track's versatility without losing its glowing core. A flagship of Berlin's thriving mid-90s scene that is not losing its sense of vision nearly three decades on.

Back on June 7th, Fuse resident Innershades took over in the Motion Room through a moment that dived deep into his signature fusion of electro, acid, breakbeat, and early trance influences. Mention Electronic Dance Music and a name that will crop up is Matt Handy a DJ that has been there from near the very beginning. 

Long before the internet super highway, mobile phones and satelite TV. Matt was trying to help promote electronic dance music to a wider audience by copying cassette tapes, sharing the love of records, teaching others to play and arranging convoys to underground partys in the most unique places.
