I pretty much just did a straight DJ mix this time instead of jumping around the BPMs the whole time like I so often do - worked my way up from a cool 110BPM to a frisky 128BPM to sneak in some joyous UK Garage towards the end.

My guest this time was Gavin Macdonagh, otherwise known as Gamadon. Gavin didn’t hold back with his guest appearance, cramming a huge amount into a one hour mix. It’s a high powered affair, with disco, pumping disco house and jacked up funk, and it’s a whole lotta fun!

My hour of Episode 155 was, once again, a bit of a tribute to geniuses that have sadly left us recently. After bidding farewell to Gwen McCrae and Roberta Flack last show, I did the same this time for the great Roy Ayers, Angie Stone and Yam Who? of Midnight Riot. I opened the show with his remix of my own track that came out on MR a couple of years back, and fitted in a few from him and Roy, and one from Angie too. Come on 2025 - stop it! 

Hour two was very special this time. I brought you a guest mix from a very talented producer who caught my ear late last year - Bralan Arias from Bogota, Colombia. His mix is almost all his own stuff, and almost all of it is unreleased. It’s an absolute treat - loads of his trademark jazzy house sounds, some cheeky samples, plenty of Rhodes, some acid… and things pick up a fair bit towards the end.
