Spuri steps in with some beautifully introspective Techno that embraces the comforting force of darkness and perfectly balances power and melancholy.  

'Edelweiss' kicks the record off with a vacuum groove that subtly draws downward into an introspective space. Although dimly lit, a steady hypnosis rocks at the body of the track, derived from the industrial drums and heavily percolating low frequencies that drive in brownian motion as they swerve and collide with one another. 

What continues to develop is a counterbalance often explored within Spuri's music and indeed - a lot of Central European Techno - a certain duality between lightness of touch and darkness of tenor; the coexistence between restraint and release. As Spuri himself puts it: 'Edelweiss is that moment between euphoria and introspection, where the beauty lies not in what’s obvious, but in what’s hidden in the tension.' 

'Find Yourself' presents the flipside of the coin as it marches in a more unbridled fashion. Raw, industrial and unapologetic, it stands upright with a tough drum skeleton that's fleshed out with burning stabs and rough, muscular bass tones. A euphoric breakdown encourages the relinquishment of inhibition as it froths up toward a seismic, stomping finish that caps off another solid addition to the Kuukou catalogue.
