Exactly 8 years ago, on the 25th of October 2017, was the official release of Virtual Self's "EON BREAK" single, which broke the EDM Internet with Porter's new alias and sound direction. Expressing a genre labelled as "Neotrance" influencing countless producers/musicians at the time, opening the digital gates of nostalgia towards everything Y2K, DDR, Beatmania and Japanese Trance/Artcore in general.

Needless to say, I was one of those nostalgia driven creators...and while I had initially covered this track in 2019, I had wanted to reanimate the old mix with an updated approach in structure, synth design, heavier guitar tones and overall improved mix.

I hope you dwellers of the wired appreciation my new take on this timeless banger, and here's to hoping Animeboi potaro himself brings back the Neotrance hype once again in the near future! 🙌🌐✨️
