Today we listen a selection by All Trades based in Liverpool, born in Blackburn, North-West England. He launched a label called Interlock with Maxquerade and Terreux. His style of DJing takes from the hardcore continuum, and filters it through an experimental lens. With this set he has selected experimental tracks, mixing in polytempo for some sections, between 90/180bpm and 180/120bpm.

There is a forthcoming track with is a collaboration with All Trades and Prieste5s, under the name From The Depths, this project will be revealed in June, with EP out 20th June on Interlock.

Which artists has influenced you the most? 

- Clouds, Special Request, Ryoji Ikeda, Andrea Parker

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- I have been involved in a project called From the Depths for the past year, we did a debut live hardware set last year in Manchester on Drexciya Day at Eastern Bloc. We have just sent off the tracks for our first EP for mastering, which will be out in June, with more live sets later this year. 
The EP will be out on my label, Interlock, interlockliverpool.bandcamp.com  We plan on hitting the 2nd half of 2023 hard with the label, we have some really exciting releases lined up.

What inspires you now to create music? 

- I have actually spent the last few months not creating any new music – just finishing tracks off, I have so many unreleased tracks that I need to get out into the world! I have been quite disciplined when moving into a new apartment to not unpack my hardware yet as it will just distract me – jamming for hours instead of finishing stuff haha.
When I do make music, I think experimentation for extended periods of time, when you feel like the session is going nowhere, to just push on a bit more, and one minor change can solidify an idea or give birth to a whole new one. I often find myself trying to make an average track better – grafting for hours on it, then something will catch my ear in the track – I’ll loop that, suddenly the inspiration will strike and I will have formed that small earworm into a new finished track in record time, and totally different to the vibe I was going for in the first place. It may be a convoluted way of going about it haha but it has some surprising results.

The idea of Psyche Cinema (ψυχή_cinemà) was born from a short story inspired to the Gaiman's Neuromancer and called "Rosenthal Effect", in which the main character, who's living in a post-atomic age, is waiting for his ego's death while consuming his neural activity with synthetic substances, until he'll be ready to delve into the Cyber Ades.

ψυχή_cinemà can so be intended as the multimedial version of "Rosenthal Effect". Its purpose is to demonstrate the whole spectrum of distortion we perceive when we experience altered mental states within psychedelic drugs usage. By that we mean to emulate via digital displays both visual and auditive distorted frequencies that the human being can feel while under influences of psilocybin, dmt's and s.divinorum.
The project is divided in three different video frameworks and has a diverse music composition for each.

The one we submit is called "PsyLowCybes", our first video-sound experiment  focused on the effects of psilocybes ingestion.
It aims to be a video art installation projected and sonorized via a plus sized dream machine we’re going to build or into three black boxes or simply onto three walls of a white blank room.
ψυχή_cinemà will see its full development in March 2021.
The tools that have been used to make the video are Artbreeder and Adobe After Effects. The tool that has been used to make the music is Ableton.

To crumble towards a centre, rather than to the ground. Elischa Heller effortlessly combines electronic music with the gestures of performance art. Delicate, futuristic and emotive melodies, often accompanied by auto-tuned vocals, intersect with high-pitched rapid beats, abundant noise and drones. At times, this evokes a sense of cool internet aesthetics, yet simultaneously feels remarkably organic, even symbiotic in nature. The incense helps. He finds comfort in the vision of a post-time world, where beings, ideas and intuitions prosper in radical simultanities. 

It’s field recordings and it’s pop, and in between an arrangement of questions. c) There is so much destruction in understanding, b) To be emotional is the most intellectual thing we can do and a) To feel helpless for a reason. Stop forcing, and never ever ever ever count anything again.
