We are proud to present the debut solo EP from a man known around Conspiracy HQ by many names - King of the Coast, Big Maui, Baby Hands, Eratik - to name a few, but you will most likely be familiar with him as Elijah Something. 

Co-founder of the label Elijah Something presents his much anticipated ‘Ecstatic Excursions’ EP, four slamming house/electro bombs that have already graced the soundsystems at some of the most highly respected festivals in existence today – Houghton, ADE, Hide & Seek and Lost Paradise, not to mention the clubs, warehouses and backyards where the punters are still piecing their brains back together.

‘On the Larry’ leads the charge from the front and rightly so. A whomping garage bassline, memorable vocal hook and driving hi-hat energy are just a few of the reasons this bad boy has been destroying dancefloors worldwide for the past 12 months.

Next up, ’Big Maui’s Big Wowee’ rings true to it’s name. Spaced-out electro wow-factor from start to finish, all cooked up in Big Maui’s interstellar beach-side studio.

Track Three sees Elijah team up with good friend of the label, Forge, to hammer out a piping hot collaboration in ‘Ecstatic Madness’. Rolling bass, acid synths and breaksy drum grooves lay the foundations for a sentimental vocal section from which the track takes it’s title.

Rounding out this monster of a release, Elijah strips it back to finish with ‘Mustang Cali’, an ode to our official Conspiracy mascot and everybody’s favourite bulldog. Percussion and glitchy FX rise and fall with elegance around a locked bassline groove, the perfect finisher to a stellar first solo outing from Elijah on his own label.

There’s not much remaining to be said about this one, the tracks have been speaking for themselves for a while now and it’s time they were shared with all of you wonderful co-conspirators. In our biased opinion here at Conspiracy, one thing is clear - Elijah Something’s first 4-tracker is a statement.

Dara is a designer and maker based in London with a background in architecture, product and graphic design. He believes in design's capacity as a service to help people, and to bring joy and decadence to their everyday lives. Following completing a master's in interior design at the royal college of art, he has been working across as many disciplines as possible in as many processes as possible. He continues to ask himself "Can design serve as an emotive tool beyond its practical purpose?”. He aims to develop a cohesive and accessible design vocabulary through his ongoing curiosity and personal investigations while maintaining a close alignment with culture through art, fashion and music. Through collaboration with friends, he has been organizing parties and gatherings in London that aim to offer a platform for different communities to intersect, meet, and have fun together, connecting through their common interest in music.

Some collaborations are emails and stems. Others are shared sunsets, late-night studio stares, and morning walks to the beach with loops still humming in your head. Wilba and Elijah Something’s debut dual EP, Clovelly Concoctions, belongs firmly to the latter. Dreamed up and distilled along the Clovelly coastline at the tail end of 2024, the four-track release arrives on Fraise Records - the wax-first imprint helmed by Wilba and his brother Max - as a celebration of transcontinental friendship, studio chemistry, and that ineffable summertime spark only real connection can conjure.

With one foot in the UK’s bubbling underground and the other in the laidback heat of Australia’s east coast, the pair mix sun-licked deep house textures, techy basslines, and rolling grooves with a touch of tongue-in-cheek flair. From festival-facing openers to the kind of early morning selections that keep dancers guessing, Clovelly Concoctions isn’t just a record - it’s a memory in motion. Think sunrise sets, beachside burners, and grooves that feel as good as they function.

At the heart of the EP is “The Diamond Heist”, the first track the duo completed and a bold statement of intent: cheeky, cinematic, and undeniably clubby. Laced with vocal snippets lifted from heist films and powered by hardware grooves, it’s the kind of cut that turns heads without raising its voice - and we’re proud to premiere it exclusively here on Torture the Artist.

We caught up with Wilba as the EP lands to talk about the Clovelly sessions, coastal rituals, club chaos, and how a lost shoe at a Chase & Status gig might’ve started it all.

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'.
