This is my cover version of the song "Cold Heart", originally performed by the iconic duo Dua Lipa and Elton John, and masterfully remixed by PNAU. I’ve always admired the brilliance of this track and its seamless fusion of timeless melodies with a modern vibe, and I’m excited to present my unique take on it.

The song was composed and performed by Elton John but the lyrics were written by Bernie Taupin. It originally appeared in his self titled and second album. Elton John hadn’t come out of the closet yet, but Bernie Taupin knew, which is part of the reason why the lyrics avoid using gendered pronouns.--Genius.com

"Your Song" was first released by American rock band Three Dog Night in March 1970 as an album track on It Ain't Easy. John was an opening act for the band at the time and allowed them to record it. They did not release it as a single as they wanted to let John, then an upcoming artist, have a go with it. John's version was recorded at Trident Studios in London in January 1970 and appeared in April as the first cut on his self-titled second studio album. Following "Border Song" as the first album single, "Your Song" was released in the United States in October 1970 as the B-side to "Take Me to the Pilot". Both sides received airplay, but "Your Song" was preferred by disc jockeys and replaced "Take Me to the Pilot" as the A-side, eventually making it to number eight on the Billboard chart. Welcome and enjoy! Thank you so much for following. When I was very very young and started writing sad love songs my friends began to call me Nicky Blue. Originally from New Jersey. My youth was influenced by Bruce Springsteen to Elvis Costello, Child of the 80's. These days I can't get enough of Tegan & Sara, David Gray, Connor OBerst and Butch Walker! Please cover my songs and let's collaborate!
I produced A Las Vegas Christmas CD 3 years in a row. All the local bands recorded their versions of favorite Christmas songs. 
I also co-wrote Only Love for Leo n the Lioness.

I am a composer/playwright, currently recording a series of solo piano albums. My grandfather was a violinist for silent films. My mother was a Jazz vocalist. I started accompanying her on piano when I was 14. I've wandered into musical theatre, jazz, progressive rock, classical; have had the good fortune of working with many fine musicians, including Dave Brubeck, Ron Carter, Donny McCaslin, Janet Planet, Ken Schaphorst, Entcho Todorov, Dane Richeson, Tom Washatka, Woody Mankowski among others; played with Maynard Ferguson and Brian Welch ("Head" from Korn), to name a few. 

Founded ArtsForge.com in 1998 to facilitate Internet collaborations in music, writing & multimedia projects. Inducted into the United Nations’ Global 500 Roll of Honor in 1994 for my work with youths and the environment. Member: ASCAP, Dramatists Guild (NYC). Last two albums ("Flow" and "Of Two Minds") achieved Cristics' Choice Awards from Fanfare Magazine. "Rain Bather", a jazz ensemble album, won Best Jazz Album of 2009 by Jazz Chicago.
