The True Euangelion: The Good News of Jesus Christ

The word "Euangelion" comes from the Greek language and means "Good News." It is the very foundation of the Christian faith—the proclamation that Jesus Christ has conquered sin and death, bringing salvation to all who believe. This Good News is not just another message; it is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16). It is the divine announcement that changed the course of history and continues to transform lives today.

What Is the True Euangelion?

The true Euangelion is the Gospel of Jesus Christ—the declaration of His birth, life, death, resurrection, and His coming Kingdom. It is the greatest story ever told, not just because of its historical impact but because it is the only message that has the power to save, redeem, and restore mankind to God.

Jesus Himself declared in Mark 1:15: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the Gospel.” This statement reveals the essence of the Euangelion: God's kingdom has come through Jesus Christ, and through Him, we receive eternal life.

The Message of the Cross and the Empty Tomb

The heart of the Good News is found at the cross and the empty tomb. When Jesus was crucified, He took upon Himself the sins of the world, bearing the punishment that we deserved (Isaiah 53:5). But the Good News does not end at the cross—on the third day, the stone was rolled away, and the tomb was empty! Jesus defeated death, proving that He is the resurrected King and the only way to eternal life (John 11:25-26).

The empty tomb is our assurance that the power of sin is broken, and through faith in Christ, we are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is the true Euangelion—a message of victory, redemption, and eternal hope.

Why the True Euangelion Matters Today

The world is full of temporary solutions and false promises of salvation. Many seek peace, hope, and purpose in things that do not last. But the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only message that provides real peace, real hope, and eternal purpose.

It brings salvation – Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6).

It offers true freedom – The Gospel sets us free from sin, shame, and condemnation (Romans 8:1-2).

It transforms lives – Those who receive the Good News become new creations in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).

It prepares us for eternity – Only through Jesus can we enter the Kingdom of God (John 3:3).

How to Respond to the Euangelion

The true Euangelion is not just to be heard—it demands a response. Jesus calls us to repent and believe (Mark 1:15). To embrace this Good News, we must:

Confess Jesus as Lord (Romans 10:9)

Believe in His resurrection (Romans 10:10)

Turn from sin and follow Him (Acts 3:19)

Live as witnesses of His truth (Matthew 28:19-20)

Euangelion: The Song of Salvation

The song "Euangelion" captures the power and beauty of the Good News. It is a declaration of victory, a song of resurrection, and a reminder that Jesus is alive. Every note, every lyric is a proclamation that the Gospel is still transforming lives today. As we listen, we are reminded of the empty tomb, the risen King, and the eternal hope we have in Him.

As the Journey to the Empty Tomb continues, believers are invited to dive deeper into the narrative of Jesus’ suffering and death, not as a tragic end but as the ultimate expression of divine love. The pain of the cross marks the climax of this journey, where the Savior takes on the weight of the world’s sin and faces the wrath of God on behalf of humanity. In this moment of agony, there is not despair but hope—a hope that will be revealed in the glory of the empty tomb. In all its pain, the cross becomes the very means by which God brings about the redemption of all who believe. Today’s message will explore the physical, spiritual, and victorious aspects of the pain of the cross. Through it, believers will be reminded that the pain of the cross is not the end but the beginning of the most incredible historical account ever told—the narrative of salvation, hope, and eternal life in Christ.

On Resurrection Sunday, we celebrate the victory of Jesus – not just a great teacher or prophet, but God Himself, risen from the dead. The empty tomb declares it: Christ is alive, and nothing will ever be the same.

💥 Christ’s resurrection confirms His divinity, and He is the pioneer of a movement that spans the globe. Jesus went first, defeating sin and death – and now a train of millions follow in His steps.

Like David’s surprising triumph over Goliath, the cross was the unexpected place of victory. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15, “The last enemy to be destroyed is death”, and Jesus has already struck the decisive blow.

🙌 We rejoice in the wonder of the cross – both Jesus crucified on it and now empty – and celebrate the joy, hope, and life it gives us. The grave could not hold Him. He is the only true, living King.

The Joy of the Resurrection declares that the tomb is not the end but the beginning. The stone has been rolled away, the grave is empty, and the risen Christ stands victorious over death. What once brought mourning now gives way to rejoicing. The resurrection is the divine affirmation of everything Christ said and did. It proves that sin has been defeated, death has been swallowed up in victory, and believers now stand on the unshakable foundation of living hope. This is not merely historical joy but eternal joy offered to all who trust the risen Lord.  As this final message in the series unfolds, hearts are invited to move from the crucifixion shadows into Resurrection’s sunshine. The journey to the empty tomb was not in vain—because “He is not here, for He is risen, just as He said.”
