What are the odds of an Interbay track having a track title that starts with an "X" FIVE DAYS IN A R-- 

--uhhh, don't you think this joke has gotten a bit old?  

What do you mean?

--this whole, every song begins with an "X" even though...it really doesn't.  

They all start with "X."  

--and today's might be the worst.  Thinking you can pretend that its not a drug reference, so you spell it funny...but it still sounds like a drug.  What is this, 1991?  Who are you, Ebeneezer Goode?

Drug?  No...this is a song about missing a girl named Stacey.  

--ahhh, so that's why the thumbnail is an image of Stacy Keibler?  You've written a song about crushing on a retired WCW/WWE performer?  

Well, first of all--Stacy Keibler's name doesn't have an E in it.  I'm not talking about her, I'm talking about Stacey.  

--so you're admitting to this likely-to-be-fictitious "ex" named Stacey has E in her--see, it IS about drugs, I knew it.  

You know nothing.  It's actually about four minutes and forty five seconds long.  It's chock full of some ravey-hard house that kids crave.  Bring "X-Stacy" home for YOUR family...you'll get a boost of energy, so much you'll all be rolling around on the floor, gurning, and doing crazy dance moves while holding glowsticks!  

If I was making a proper version of this track, it would have more dynamics--but, in trying to squeeze it in under five minutes, sometimes the loud and noisy part goes right into the NEXT loud and noisy part (especially towards the early part of the track.)  Maybe an extended remix should be in order?  

Even as it is, I'm sure I would have found time in my weekend sets, back when I was a nightclub dj, to fit this one in.  I think it's fun.  I hope you do too!

FIRST THING:  Before you do ANYTHING, could you please give a listen to yesterday's Interbay track, "Listen (Aylala)"?  That weird thing that happens from time to time happens, when the SoundCloud algorithm simply abandons a random track...and it doesn't get near enough the listens as it should.  "Listen (Aylala)" shouldn't be slept on--it's a damn fun, grindy guitar industrial midtempo cyberpunk thing...very Interbay, very deserving of a few minutes of your time.  

When you are done doing THAT, come back here and check out today's track.  

We're going big room hard house for an ADHD-fueled adventure into various styles and vibes all blendered into one crazy floor filling club track.  

Is there structure to this?  Actually, yes.  Did I adhere to that structure all the way through the track?  Errrrr...no.  This is one of those rollercoasters where you're not certain where you're going next--and you may lurch this way and that before the ride ends.  

As a former club dj, I think I could have had a lot of fun with this--so many mix points, so many opportunities to build one part before dropping the next...or to keep coming back to a part of this song to transition between many songs in a mix.  

One criticism I've received since starting this crazy Interbay music project in January 2023, is that I try to cram too much into many Interbay tracks.  It's a fair cop--though, I'm trying to learn to control myself...  After "Listen (Aylala)" got slept on, undeservedly, yesterday--I decided to take the brakes off the ride and see if it can all stay on the rails.  

...even if it feels like it's going to careen off into space at any given moment (and, it might--you never know!)...at least you know the ride will have been exciting!  

So--after you give a listen to yesterday's track, "Listen (Aylala)" (and yes, I'm just now recognizing the irony in asking people to listen to a song titled "Listen"--but please do!), then give "Kinetic" a listen.  It'll show you two sides of the dodecahedron that is Interbay.

Maze Kashi is a DJ based in Berlin and one of the co-founders of Kollektiv Buschtanz and has been involved with heart and soul since the beginning!
Early in his youth he learned to play piano and E-Bass and gained experience in various bands and music groups. After moving to Berlin in 2016, he was driven by the incredible energy of electronic music, thrilling basslines, sharp snares and electrifying melodies. It quickly became clear to Maze that he wanted start DJing to share his passion for music with his own personal touch with his fellow people!
Those who know him know that Maze loves to pull the crowd along with his music, depending on the mood and energy, and take them on a very special musical journey through a wide variety of genres and styles!
So get ready for your very own journey!

Post-punk, dance, indie, electronic, and mutant pop in various styles (seriously!)--new tracks being posted daily (every day for over a year, so far!)
