In ‘Mycelial Polyphonies,’ I weave through soil and silence, a decentralised network with an anti-hierarchical structure. My polyphonous nature speaks in whispers and echoes, forging connections unseen and beyond human consciousness. Through performative poetry, field recordings and polyphonic singing, I redefine relationships - sociality beyond the human gaze. I challenge agrarian norms, dissolve boundaries, and propose a symbiotic dance of reciprocity. I appreciate your interest in embracing an anti-hierarchical ethos, where every voice in the mycelial chorus harmonises within the middle ground.

My practice 'Mycelial Polyphonies' delves around the idea of mycelium being the silent architect, with a decentralised structure. Mycelium is polyphony in bodily form. Each of the voices is a hyphal tip, exploring a soundscape for itself. Although each is ‘free to wander’ their wanderings can’t be seen as separate from others. There is no main voice. There is no lead tune. There is no central planning. Yet, from this organic interplay, emerges a mesmerizing form, revealing the inherent beauty of nature's orchestration :)

Fun Fact: 

"Pictureplane"(Travis Egedy), is a popular artist known for making his come up in the electronic music scene, DIY Venues, also popular for hanging around artists like "Grimes" and "Crystal Castles" in the early come up days of these artist, he is also the one who came up with the word "Witch House" which is a playful word on "House" music, though "Witch House" is now a popular music genre that is enjoyed by many.

"Crystal Castles" are actually one of the very first, if not the first electronic music duo to actually invent "Witch House" music, as you can hear dark beats and sorrow drawn out voices off of some of their early (demo songs/ Demo Album) dating back from "2007" and before that, which is crazy to think since during that time "Witch House" did not have a name for itself yet.
