I put most of this together at the end of 2020 as a "test" project for MuLab 8 after making the decision to move to a 64-bit DAW. Then I forgot about it until a couple of months ago when I found it in one of my old project directories. The music was 90% complete, so I revived the project and made a few musical changes in Mulab 9, mixed and mastered it. It's quite slow and more than a little gloomy.

This is another electro/ambient hybrid car-crash. I put it together in April 2023. In March 2024, I decided that it needed to be a little louder, and remastered with a different chain. It's less quiet than the earlier version.

Edit: 20241003 - I remixed this an hour ago, adding a little reverb to the cymbals, and then remastered the track, using the same chain as before.

Equivocate

This is a track I started putting together in late 2021 whilst getting to grips with MuLAB. I didn't finish it at the time, and other projects captured my attention. In June 2024, I rediscovered this project and finished it over a couple of months during my free moments.

It's another ambient/Berlin-School inspired piece of electronica, that features a lot of sounds from Absynth5.

Edit: 20241126 - I remixed it in November 2024, bringing down the LPF corner frequencies on most of the Absynth instances, and increasing some of the EQuivocate attenuation of the mids of the same instruments. I also took the opportunity to clean up a little LF mud. It was mastered using the same chain used on the original version.

Bathe at Your Own Risk (2024 Master)

I put this track together in July 2023, but "time-management" issues delayed its release. Antarctica was the working title for this piece, but during the composition, I kept seeing imagery of creatures from a Sci-Fi movie featuring Vin Diesel. This caused me some small degree of confusion, consternation and disquiet. I would have preferred John Carpenter's milieu.

I put this together in April 2024, but circumstances have once again caused the delay of its release. This was the first track I made using the Crow Hill Vaults Beta Celest-a-tone and Attic Grand. There is a lot of reverb in use here, but less than I used on an earlier iteration of this piece.

It's a piece of music in two contrasting parts - descending darkness and emerging light.
