“The Best Friend” depicts the excruciating feeling of loneliness, confusion and anxiety due to never having a deep enough connection to be the best friend of anyone. Even though living constantly surrounded by people, the feeling of being just an extra in everyone else's lives always creeps into the mind of the singer. With a melancholic yet light and dreamy instrumental, the song was written when Eros moved to LA and felt like an outsider left out of all the meaningful deep friendships he witnessed come to form, even though he tried his hardest to become someone’s best friend.
