This was an exclusive promo DJ Mix recorded under my original artist / DJ name DJ President Ike.

It was originally intended as promo for the hip-hop duo, LOWdown's 1st "official" release 'GroundZero' in 2006, released on CD via Chuck D's Slam Jamz label:

LowDOWN is composed of 2 members of my Hip Hop group 'The Impossebulls': C-Doc (The Warhammer) [who produced all tracks] and Tirade.

They had already been working on some songs from the 1st album YEARS before from when they had began to work on tracks together as teenagers using (I believe) a 4 track and whatever sampler hardware C-Doc had.

My track selections for the mix were all produced by (C-Doc The Warhammer) in deep, jazzy, boom bap, hip-hop, at times abstract, downtempo or trip hop oriented where I also incorporating scratching, and turntablism, as is with the last song which was a DJ cut track for the 1st album.

I removed the hidden track that comes at the end after a long silence, hence the length difference.

Background:

The Impossebulls and LOWdown all met on Public Enemy's sadly lost internet forum The EnemyBoard (The EB) created around 1998, when Chuck D had become a vocal proponent of mp3 technology as the future with some famous debates with Lars Ulrich of Metallica about this, that also led to Chuck and PE getting into conflict with Def Jam Records over PE's throwing to crowds free CD-R's of exclusive or hard to find versions of their music on what was called 'Bring The Noise 2000' at their live shows.

The Impossebulls and many other brillant aspects where many of us are close friends to this day, or worked together with posters from

I titled the track/mix, labeling it a "Mini-Mix" due to its short length.

Personal Note/Editorial/Context:

IMHO LOWdown's work is severely underrated and far too unknown. The 1st album had it been released in the 1990's I think would have blown up BIG TIME. 

LOWdown is more Prince Paul, De La Soul, Black Sheep, The Pharcyde aka humorous, playful and outrageous tounge-in cheek than the more serious work we did emulating more political conscious artists like Public Enemy, KRS-ONE, Jeru The Damaja, Common, Dead Prez, etc. as is a lot of what we did with the Impossebulls.

Am I biased? Sure, but if you dig 90's "Golden Age" hip-hop you should peep their work.

Isaac Basker Aliases: DJ President Ike | Prez Ike | Ize Bernard

A New Yorker by birth, Isaac Basker's path to creating House and Techno, while not conventional, exemplifies the roots, history, and influences of his home city. Growing up in Westbeth, a Manhattan artist community, Isaac was pushed to express himself through more traditional art forms such as singing in the Metropolitan Opera and quite serious playing of the violin. Yet, by the late 80's and early 90s exposure to his city's vast and innovative community of hip-hop, and dance music culture began to take hold of him.

By 18, as DJ President Ike, Isaac began hosting and DJing a widely followed hip-hop mix show on college radio, catering to more underground sounds. As a growing DJ and Turntablist, this eventually led to working closely with hip-hop legends, Public Enemy, as part of the Internet based Rap super group The Impossebulls and the Downtempo Turntablist concept group, Illegal Thought Process with releases on Chuck D's label Slam Jamz. This eventually led to appearances Isaac made as DJ President Ike, recording scratches on Public Enemy's own releases.

By mid-00's with hip-hop becoming increasingly commercialized, and dancing within that scene's underground level disappearing, Isaac began to turn to various forms of electronic music, and combining eclectic sounds together into his sets. In 2005 This led to his creating one of the early podcast mix shows, the highly acclaimed, 'Indelible Beats' labeled "Fresh beats for your head nodd and body move crav-ings..." a sort of fusion of up-tempo, rhythm-oriented music meant primarily for the dance floor. This desire to entice dancers to move their bodies to tracks they have never heard gradually led to Isaac's increased interest in making his own productions of House and Techno.

Being exposed to the Deep House of New York clubs in the 90's led Isaac, early in his production career, to develop a sound that exudes that influence, and was in step with the resurgence of House and Techno in New York during the • late 2000's and early 2010's. This can be understood clearly with Isaac's first solo release, "Found & Lost EP" released on the Brooklyn based label, Thema in 2011, featuring a remix from The Bronx-based purveyor of NYC underground sounds, DJ Spider. In 2013 Isaac started his own label, Play It, Say What?," releasing his own tracks again with "Resilience Sans Relapse EP," featuring remix work this time from one of the masters of NYC's deep house resurgence, Fred P.

JM Grana, born on the Spanish Mediterranean Coast, played his first records in the Benidorm of the 80’s.  At that time, this town was a sound reference in music, which set up the new trends that the rest of Spain would follow for years to come.  The essential qualities of his playing could be described as Elegance, Sensuality, & Feeling.  You will enjoy the Nu Disco, Deep, Soulful & House styles during his performances.  JM Grana is reknown for his Funky Soulful style. His music takes you on an emotional journey from smooth and sensual to earthy and upbeat. His rhythms penetrate your spirit, putting a vital spark in your step. His music is pure positive energy and is definitely meant to be felt as well as heard.
Since 1988 as resident DJ, JM Grana has performed in the most important clubs in his city such as Nabab, Km, Underground, Café del Mar, Moon Beach Club, and Ku Discotheque where prestigious international DJs such as Bob Sinclar, Masters at Work, Roger Sanchez, Erick Morillo, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Little Louie Vega, Martin Solveig, Todd Terry, and Antoine Clamaran, to name just a few, have made guest appearances.
As guest DJ, JM Grana has also filled dance floors in some of the best venues of the country, namely Spook in Valencia, the Metro Dance Club in Bigastro (Murcia), Privilege (Ibiza), and ZKlub in Alicante, where he has made several guest appearances.
Internationally, Norway was one of the most visited countries between 2005 and 2008, where every three months or so, he toured the most important clubs of Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger, Trondheim and Narvik, to name but a few. One of the clubs which has counted on his presence the most was Contra Bar in Bergen, where he has been the floor-filler on numerous occasions, from 2005 until the present, and is one of the places where his Soulful style has been most appreciated and valued, giving him an extremely meaningful connection with this emblematic venue.
2010 was the year in which his career took him across the Atlantic, where he performed in Venice Beach in Los Angeles (California) at the prestigious Air Conditioned Supper Club.
In July 2013, he travelled with Musica Divina’s manager, Bru Marsé to one of the most important clubs in the Ukraine, Bono Beach in Odessa.
He has also been selected for coveted DJ awards, such as the Lucky Strike DJ Expression award in 2003, and also winning the NLAB award as Best House DJ in 2007.
2014 was a year of major change for JM Grana, in February he became resident DJ in Macao Lounge Bar; a stylish bar located in the affluent marina deportiva campomanes area. 
It was here in March that year that "Sunday Funday" was born. A new concept combining JMGranas individual style of soulful house DJ'ing with some of the best live talents around, including vocalists and musicians, all in a beautiful setting overlooking the port. 
Some of the artists working alongside JM Grana include Josephine sweet (vocals) Ramon Riera (Saxaphone) and Pakito Baeza (drums) also Diana Tarin,Ilu Perez and Janyssha Lyon, all the artists played a huge part in the success of Sunday Funday, and in June  Mediterranean sounds was born. 
Mediterranean sounds consisted of JM working with Josephine, Ramon and Pakito and the three of them returned to Bergen in Norway together to introduce Sunday Funday to Cafe Contra Bar , and later they returned to work in Madrid and more cities.  
2015 was also very important as this was the year JM Grana began to collaborate with various radio stations. These included NYC House Radio (New York) and Soulside Radio Paris.
2015 was the year also when JM Grana was named best DJ alongside other international DJ's including the likes of Louie Vega, Jamie Lewis, David Morales, Grant Nelson, Dimitri from Paris and Frankie Knuckles.

Un nom au pluriel décrivant une personnalité " multiple " mélangeant le perfectionnisme, la rigueur ainsi que la folie créative, Gulian multiplie ces facettes.

Passionné de musique électronique depuis toujours, à l’âge de 18 ans il jouait déjà lors des éventements majeurs à Paris. En 2005 il a commencé des prestations régulières aux Bains-Douches grâce à sa sélection distinctive des mélodies et ses compétences de mixe hors pair. L'obtention d'une résidence dans un club aussi prestigieux lui ouvre la porte des fêtes les plus undergrounds de la Capitale Française et également celles des clubs les plus mythiques comme le Queen, le Man Ray, le
Redlight, le Studio 287, le Duplex et Chez Regine. Grâce à son instinct inné pour les développements les plus novateurs et excitants dans la musique électronique, Gulian a continué de construire sur ces bases solides, son podcast Shut Up and Dance rendant ses sons pointus à l’internationale et arrivant sur la liste du Top 50 d'iTunes.

En 2014, il décroche une résidence dans le célèbre club Parisien le Showcase, mixant ainsi avec des artistes éminents comme Martin Buttrich, Matthias Tanzman, Hot since '82, Martinez Brothers, Tube & Berger ,Maceo Plex, Solomun et Deadmau5.

Pendant toutes ces années, motivé par sa passion pour la musique qu'il promouvait, Gulian s'est plongé dans l’activité de DJ, enrichissant son savoir-faire, développant ses compétences, rendant ainsi ses créations de plus en plus pointues et se ainsi forgeant une réputation internationale dans cette industrie.

Au début de 2015 Gulian uni ses forces à celles du célèbre producteur français Olivier Giacomotto afin de sortir l'EP " Heartless " avec le prestigieux label espagnol Suara. Six mois plus tard il sort " Rise
of Emotions ", se classant directement dans l’incontournable Top 10 Beatport.

Son début de discographie a été immédiatement soutenu par des artistes aussi renommés que Richie Hawtin, Maceo Plex, Luciano, Seth Troxler, Dubfire, pour n' en citer que quelques-uns. A la fin de 2015 il a été nominés comme " Break through Artists of 2015 " par Beatport.

José Fajardo is a Venezuelan DJ and producer who began his career in the underground music scene of Valencia, Venezuela, in 2012. In 2017, he moved to Madrid, where he blended tech house and minimal deep tech, influenced by the European scene. Over the years, he has shared the stage with artists such as Jamie Jones, Luciano, Gordo, Erick Morillo, Dennis Cruz, and Paul Kalkbrenner.

In 2020, he made history as the first Venezuelan electronic artist to headline the Bedroom Beach Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria. His track “Calle Ocho” was supported by The Martinez Brothers, Marco Carola, Mochakk, and Joris Voorn. In 2022, he became a resident DJ at Space of Sound Madrid and launched his event brand, FAJARDO & THE GANG.

José is the CEO of Bendita Locura Musical Group, which launched its label in 2025. His music is signed to prominent labels like El Row Music, Stereo Productions, and Mood Child. His collaboration “Azúcar Negro” with Sparrow & Barbossa has been a key track in his career.
