Righi is author of Three Economies of Transcendence; The Other Side of the Digital: The Sacrificial Economy of New Media; and coeditor with Cesare Casarino of Another Mother: Diotima and the Symbolic Order of Italian Feminism.

Michael Lewis is senior lecturer in philosophy at University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and editor of the Journal of Italian Philosophy.

Burden of Silence (Ripples of Existence)

This is a song I wrote and recorded for a theatrical play called "A Number" which was performed at The Questors Theatre in Ealing (London, UK) recently.  The play was written by Caryl Churchill, and explores the concepts of human cloning and self identity. 
The play encourages consideration about the ethical, moral, social and psychological implications of human cloning, and what it means to be human. How much of our individual identity is directly tied to our uniqueness. Does it matter if we are created in identical cloned batches? Do we feel less human if we are physically identical to another person down to our DNA?
It's a very interesting and thought provoking play, and this is the theme song I created for it.
