Our socio-cultural environment is the substrate on which we cultivate our identity. We can make it grow by extending our branches and letting our roots spread out to soil in which we will adapt, or we can withdraw and wither away artistically and intellectually.

Beautiful hothouse flowers that require constant climate maintenance to prevent them from degenerating or dying out are proliferating today. On the other hand, there are weeds whose adaptability allows them to display a protean structure and to feel at ease in all climates. Although rarer, they arouse emotions and reflection in us.

InhuM'Awz is an organism, composed of two human artistic entities, planted in a tortured and harsh underground. Its rapid growth is due to the way in which it has been able to metabolise the various components that could have hindered its growth. Rather than withdrawing into itself by encountering unknown elements, it has converted, catalysed and ingested them into its now unique and mature DNA.

The Lyon-based duo is a singular and characteristic form that stands out in a sometimes monotonous and monolithic musical landscape. It is certainly not unique but its genre is becoming rarer these days.

What is rare is precious, interesting and evocative... Inhum'Awz is an archetype of this, and words cannot express the rich and varied musical language he uses.
