"Music For The Air We Share" is a piece composed of a series of improvised sound fragments made  by  @RicardoArrescurrenaga  during the performance "The Air We Share" created using two audio feedback techniques.

The first technique involves placing a contact microphone over the cone of a speaker, generating feedback that is then processed through resonance attenuation software. This software limits the initial feedback, allowing other frequencies to emerge and balance each other out, creating an ever-shifting soundscape. As a result, metallic and spatial textures are produced—reminiscent of trumpets, gongs, or distant roars. Additionally, materials such as wood, rubber, or metal are placed on the speaker to make them vibrate and be captured with a contact microphone, adding organic timbres and textures to the composition.

The second technique uses a traditional microphone, a speaker, and again the resonance software. In this case, the resulting sounds are more chaotic and “alien-like,” playing with the distance, angle, and position of the microphone relative to the speaker, as well as volume.

This intervention explores the expressive potential of feedback as raw material for live improvisation,  a fundamental physical principle of sound, chaotic and unpredictable.

Music For The Air We Share

Music composed for "OMINA", the transdisciplinary stage performance created by  @RicardoArrescurrenaga   (https://www.instagram.com/ricardoarrescurrenaga) and Victoria Gómez  (https://www.instagram.com/cosmorfia), which merges technology, live music, and dance to explore an essential theme: the return of consciousness through reflection.
The term, of Latin origin, refers to ancient omens, connecting with the mystery of what is yet to be revealed.

The proposal stems from a shared intuition: the existence of common patterns between the body, nature, and the universe. Inspired by alchemy as a symbolic and transformational knowledge, the project investigates the relationships between the micro and the macro, and how these universal forms can manifest through contemporary technological media.

At the heart of the work lies the video-feedback effect — a visual phenomenon that occurs when a camera records the image projected by itself, generating an infinite feedback loop. This interaction gives rise to ever-changing fractal shapes — spirals, tunnels, bursts of light — that evoke patterns found in nature, such as tree branches, riverbeds, snowflakes, or crystal formations. They also reference mental structures, like thought maps, neural networks, or phosphenes. Real-time projections that shift with each movement of the body on stage, creating a living, organic, and symbolic visuality.

Between the ancestral and the digital, the performance unveils a dimension of the virtual sacred. Just as we once gathered around fire to share myths, today we gather before screens — luminous reflections where the story continues to ignite.
Omina proposes a transposition of that ritual fire into a feedback-fed light, building a space of reconciliation with the artificial — returning to us a sacred place where we can reconnect with our origins.

Accompanied by an original sound composition — where MIDI notes draw architectural shapes inspired by sacred temples — the piece transforms the stage into a contemporary cathedral: a place of invocation, free from dogmas and religions, where light breathes, sound constructs, and the body acts as a channel.

More than representation, Omina seeks remembrance: to activate in the audience a sensorial experience that awakens an ancient memory — a resonance between the body and the universe it contains.

Trushmix 248 presents Vera Dvale. Musician and electronic producer based in Northern Norway. 
She has delivered a one hour mix! In her production she is leaning towards the more experimental and ambient spectrum, with soundscapes, texture based works with a connection to the esoteric, nature and the universe. And this mix emphasises some of that. She has previously released on labels such as Sex Tags Amfibia, Wania, Holuzam and her own imprint In The Neighborhood Of The Sun, The Moon And The Stars.

This mix a one hour session into variations of ambient with a touch of the experimental. A free flow into different moods and energies. This mix is also the first part of two.
