Markets have been ON FIRE since the election: After touching support at the 50_DMA before Election Day, markets have taken off, and we're getting pretty over-extended now. Investors are more exuberant than ever on record. There are now some of the highest call options for Kathie Woods' Ark Fund, which we haven't seen in forever because it's been such an underperformer. Everybody's betting on Everything going up. Eventually, there's going to be a pullback, maybe to the 20-DMA, 5,820 on the S&amp;P, and that would set up markets for a rally into the end of the year. We're suggesting implementation of some risk management at this point. October CPI: Could inflation's uptick delay Fed easing?

Markets sold off and then rallied back to close in positive territory; markets are holding on at a very high level: Participants are just unwilling to sell, expecting markets to climb even higher thru year's end. Analysts are very exuberant, seeing no problem with the S&amp;P hitting 6,200 by the end of the year. Bitcoin is the poster-child for exuberance, melting higher in the post-election, now in the $91,000 realm. This is the best, speculative investment measure of risk. Bitcoin is extremely overbought. Gold, on the other hand, has gotten hit really hard since the election, trading down another 80-basis points this morning. Gold cracked through the 20-day, the 50-day, and is threatening to break through the 100-DMA today. Gold is oversold, and we're expecting a bounce. The Russell 2000 has seen a big gain in small- and mid-cap stocks following the election. Bank lending standards have loosened up sharply since the election, too. Lowered interest rates and a business-friendly Administration are allowing banks to ease their lending restrictions for small- and mid-cap companies. The message in the markets: Risk-on!
