Ice Queen - Instrumental

Along The Silent Path is an album of orchestral contemporary compositions written in a cinematic style.
The album consists of ten tracks, each connected by a certain narrative thread.

On one side of the cover, a small figure walks across a stylized landscape, following a dotted path.
The dotted line symbolizes the road created by the musical material itself — a journey that forms the album’s unfolding story.

Each track has its own mode and approach to orchestration, yet there is a subtle connection running through them all.
The inspiration for this work came from the music of composers such as Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith, and Danny Elfman, particularly from films like Sleepy Hollow, Sherlock Holmes, and Agatha Christie’s Poirot.
Thus, the music is written in an adventurous and detective tone.

On the other side of the cover, an old radio is depicted — symbolizing the receiver through which the music is heard.

Why the Art Deco and Noir style?
It represents something in between on the timeline — an aesthetic bridge between eras to which this music can resonate.
Some compositions evoke a Victorian atmosphere, while others lean toward later periods.

Alannah is a Dublin based composer, sound designer and filmmaker, passionate about music and visual media. 

 A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Alannah received a BA in Music, specialising in composition.  She is currently undertaking a MA in Scoring for Film, Television and Visual media at Pulse College, Windmill Lane, Dublin. 

In 2022, her composition The Rainstorm was premiered by the Gramophone nominated Fidelio Trio. She has also composed for ensembles, such as the Trinity Orchestra, Irish Chamber Choir and Dublin String Quartet. In 2023 and 2024, her compositions were shortlisted for the Finding a Voice Emerging Composers competition .Her piece Sakura Tree was debuted by the Darragh Morgan of the Fidelio Trio in November 2023. 

Alannah also composes, directs and produces for screen, with her short films selected for both national and international film festivals, such as the Louth International Film Festival, Rome International Film Festival, Dublin International Film Festival and Underground Film Festival.

Soundtrack Composer, Founder of NYC-based soundtrack band MORRICONE YOUTH since 1999, and Producer/Host of film soundtrack radio programs MORRICONE YOUTH on EAST VILLAGE RADIO (2007-2014 & 2025- Present) and MORRICONE ISLAND on WFMU 91.1 FM in NYC/NJ (2014-2024)

Devon Goldberg (aka Devon E. Levins) is a composer, producer, musician and founding member of New York City-based MORRICONE YOUTH which performs and records live scores to silent films and midnight movies. Devon has been a bandleader, DJ and avid soundtrack record collector since the 1980s performing and recording with Creedle (Cargo/Headhunter), aMiniature (Restless), rust (Atlantic), Pretendo (Country Club) and 80s hardcore band Abeyance, amongst others, and produces and hosts weekly "film soundtrack" radio programs MORRICONE YOUTH conceived in 2007 on EAST VILLAGE RADIO and MORRICONE ISLAND on WFMU 91.1 FM in New York City and New Jersey (2014-2024). In 2019, Devon composed the original score for director Kire Paputt's second feature length film The Last Porno Show, which premiered at the 2019 Toronto International Film Festival. The score was performed by Morricone Youth with help from Cochemea Gastelum, Sean McCaul, Karen Waltuch and Scott Hollingsworth. 

Morricone Youth is a collective of musicians formed in New York City in 1999 with the mission statement to compose and re-interpret "music written for the moving image" (i.e. film and television soundtracks and library music) who have performed all over the world, from CBGB's and the top of the World Trade Center to the Brooklyn Academy of Music, MassMoCA, Philadelphia Museum of Art, San Diego Museum of Art and The Sydney Festival as well as supporting Italian prog soundtrack legends Goblin on their 2017 North American tour. The band has live scored fifteen silent films and midnight movies including Nosferatu, Enter The Dragon, Foxy Brown, Eraserhead and La Planete Sauvage and in 2016 embarked on an ambitious 15-vinyl series for each film, the 1st seven of which have been released for George Miller's "Mad Max," Goerge Romero's "Night of the Living Dead," F.W. Murnau's "Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans," Lotte Reineger's "The Adventures of Prince Achmed," Mario Bava's "Danger: Diabolik," Alfred Hitchock's "The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog" and Sergei Eisenstein's "Battleship Potemkin." The band's music has been used in film, television, documentaries and video games over the past 25 years. 

In 2024, Devon composed the score to psychological horror film Eight Eyes from director Austin Jennings (director/co-writer of Shudder’s The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs) which world premiered at the 2023 Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, shot on 16mm and Super 8 on location in Serbia and Macedonia and starring Scream Queen Emily Sweet (V/H/S ‘99). The original score is composed by Devon Goldberg and performed by Morricone Youth featuring Sami Stevens (Sunnyside Records, Norah Jones) on vocals. The film was co-produced by Vinegar Syndrome as the Blu-ray reissue label’s first entirely original production and is distributed by Shudder in North America and Donau Film in Europe. Ciinderella Balthazar is a Belgium-born, London-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for her euphoric sound, soulful voice, and cinematic live performances. Blending cinematic soul with alternative pop, her music explores themes of strength, self-acceptance, and growth.
