I've been working on this film with my good friend, experimental animator Ayden Lamb for just over a year now. Originally I wanted to use my orchestral recording from AIR studios in a more "standard" type of way, but the film has changed directions multiple times since it's recording and the music needed be heavily modified to fit the bonkers nature of the short. 

This is part three of the full score from the film as it premiered at Cal Arts back in May 2025 and features a great deal of wacky sound design and fun retro synths that have been heavily crushed and distorted. I'm excited for this project to continue on, and even more excited for the truly "finished" product to hit the festival circuit in early 2026. 

The track incorporates a public domain recording of a little ditty from the 1920s that was used to add yet another layer of bizarre to the whole experience.

The Feast - From Coyotes Eat Everything

An Interlude with Time is a cinematic, classical instrumental — sober yet beautiful, filled with reflection, regret, longing, and the hope of reconciliation. It carries the weight of memories while gently moving forward into acceptance. This piece is still evolving — an additional melody and vocal line will join it — but it will definitely appear on a future album.

“The Cosmic Secrets Withheld” is a spiritual-like journey — a blend of acoustic soul and cinematic soundscapes. Tribal rhythms echo like a call to gather, while lyrics remind us that hidden truths live in silence, waiting to be discovered. Both meditative and powerful, it’s music for seekers, dreamers, and wanderers of the spiritual and mystical unknown.

Stars ask questions in the night,
Whispers vanish out of sight.
Every soul reaching to find,
Answers hidden, lost in time.

Cosmic secrets withheld above,
Silence holds what we’re dreaming of.
Searching the heavens, temples, and skies,
Chasing shadows where meaning hides.

Echoes in scripts, stories retold,
Fragments of fire, secrets left cold.
Eyes to the sky, hearts on the mend,
Believing secrets will break in the end.

Cosmic secrets withheld above,
Silence holds what we’re dreaming of.
Searching the heavens, temples, and skies,
Chasing shadows where meaning hides.

Maybe silence is teaching us more,
Holding the truths we keep searching for.
In the unspoken, mystery stays,
Guiding the dark, a light in the haze.

Galaxies spinning in time and space,
Whispers of love in their bright embrace.
The universe speaks in colors unseen,
Carving our paths through the spaces between.
