Following up on several releases with Global Underground and his hugely popular remix of Phoenix - Rise Up, FOTN is back with a brand new EP on Tactal Hots Music.
 
The EP was inspired by the screenplay for the unmade Shane Carruth movie 'A Topiary', an incredible-sounding Science Fiction story.
 
The EP starts with Apologue, a driving techno monster replete with acid drones, analogue synth riffs and huge Juno Pads.
 
Next up is Funnel which combines old-school 808 breakbeat percussion and 303 acid lines with modern synth elements and glitched vocals, the 303 almost evoking a warning klaxon.
 
Conquest of Chorus takes the EP in a melancholic, electronica direction - serving as a requiem for the ultimate fate of the universe in the story.
 
The Reprise builds on the elements of Conquest of Chorus adding in deep organic beats and ambiences.
