I thought it might be fun to make a fusion version of two of my favorites - Chinese and Japanese traditional instruments - mixed with a western Christmas song about a very special community centre in Toronto, Canada.  Even if you cannot understand the words I invite everyone to listen to tracks which are in different languages and use traditional instruments - for instance instruments of China's various dynasties.  I'm hoping now that I can do Tagalog (Filipino) soon I'll be able to use traditional Philippine instruments.  Fusion is often used combining this which are different together - say Modern Pop such as J-Pop or C-Pop and older instruments of the past which are magnificent. The Rainforest Cowboy is wishing everyone in Bhutan a very special holiday season.  We'll be exploring more about Bhutan in future tracks.  Bhutan is located just north of India, and west of China and is a land-locked nation of about 800,000 people.  Exceptionally beautiful, absolutely gorgeous and the amazing people there - something else.  

It's the next track I meant to upload, but, both are pretty good - I left it up so you may choose - hey!, maybe you'll like both!.  I hope I got the instruments correct, let me know, please.  All my love to the people of Bhutan..  I've been researching Bhutan for a while now since I noticed many listeners there - I try to understand various cultures.  I went with Bhutan first over other nations as with less then a million people it's easy to have your nation overlooked ... so I wanted to make a special effort to get to know Bhutan and that myself and the listeners all care about you.

Music is the object of my hyper-focusing ways! 😂 I'm primarily a guitarist, although I've really taken to the piano in the last five years or so. The two reinforce each other in positive ways, I've found. But I digress. Most of the songs here I've written for a personal  soundtracking-type project. I have a collection of old family 8mm films from the 1950s through the 1970s, which were preserved (thankfully) and digitized. Thing is, they had no audio. So, a year and a half later, 75+ videos into the project, and about, I'd say, 12 more videos to soundtrack? Generational contribution: complete! 🤘🏼🎸
It's really been a cool experience trying to capture different moods for different videos. It was also special to spend so much time with film of a group of people who had such a profound impact on who I have become - but seeing them here "pre-me". Seeing my grandparents dance together and go about their daily lives on film, being younger than I am now. Generations of leaves... 
I love almost all types of music. Recently, I've been listening to Curtis Mayfield, Paco de Lucía, Michael Hedges, Yes, Deftones, The Mercury Program, Ólafur Arnalds, September Malevolence.
