Es gibt DJs, die verstehen ihr Handwerk. Sie lesen die Crowd, fühlen den Puls des Raumes, lassen die Bässe fließen wie warmes Blut durch die Adern der Nacht.

Und dann gibt es jene… die ihre Sets lieblos hinrotzen. Die mit peinlichen Mashups und abgedroschenen Baseline die magische Verbindung zwischen Publikum und Musik zerstören.

Für sie gibt es eine uralte, mystische Bestrafung.

Tief in den Schatten der DJ-Kanzel, dort, wo Staub und alte Vinylhüllen liegen, lebt eine Kreatur, von der nur die erfahrensten Plattenaufleger zu flüstern wagen:

Der Chinch-Kabel Zwacker.

Eine kleine Languste, deren Scheren nicht dazu da sind, Muscheln zu knacken – sondern schlechte Musik im Keim zu ersticken.


Er erscheint nicht bei jedem falschen Übergang, nicht bei jedem versehentlichen Clipping.

Nein.

Der Zwacker taucht erst auf, wenn ein DJ seine Kunst verrät. Wenn er ohne Liebe auflegt. Wenn er die Crowd mit schlechten Gain-Staging   und schlampigem Equalizing quält.

Oder wenn er gar… jeden Track zu früh raus mixt oder ständig den Floor leer spielt in dem er zwischen Warmup und Peak-Time Tracks hin und her wechselt.

Dann – im nebligen Strobolicht –  für einen Sekundenbruchteil etwas zu sehen:

Zwei rot glühende Augen.Fühler, die sich zitternd aus den Schatten schieben.Ein gepanzerter, schimmernder Langusten-Körper.

Ein leises Klicken der Scheren.

Dann – ein dumpfes… Zwick!

Mit chirurgischer Präzision setzt der Cinch-Kabel Zwacker seine rasiermesser scharfen Scheren an den Cinch-Kabeln an – den empfindlichsten Adern der Soundanlage.

Ein sauberer Schnitt… und die Musik stirbt mitten im Drop.

Stille.

Die Menge verstummt. Irritierte Blicke.

Der DJ starrt panisch auf sein Equipment. Doch da ist nichts mehr zu retten.
