Do Not Be Deceived - Sermon for Trinity X 2024-08-04

Jesus tells us to enter through the narrow gate. He teaches us that the way is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it. One of the reasons it is hard to find is that false prophets abound in each generation, which deter people from the true way. False prophets lull people into spiritual complacency, preaching another gospel. False prophets misrepresent God and resist correction. We need discernment in our day to be alert and prepared. What is required of a discerning disciple of Jesus?
