Super Mario Bros. 3 was one of my favourites growing up.

I searched high and low for a version of this song I could use in my sets to no avail, so I took matters into my own hands.

The original had a tropical vibe to it, so I went for a beach house meets summer rock vibe with this remix.

Nice to meet you. My name is Randy Derricott, an Autistic EDM DJ/producer & Pharmacy Tech based in Coral Springs, Florida (a suburb of Fort Lauderdale) by way of Richmond, Virginia.

Active since 2004, I mainly make & play Trance & Progressive House.  I also sometimes let my nerdy side show by playing what I call "Comicontronica" or EDM remixes/covers of songs from video games, anime & the like.

My adventures have had me perform at a number of venues throughout South Florida as well as some of the biggest conventions in the US, among which include Anime Iwai, Otakufest, MegaCon, Kirbiicon, Colossalcon Ohio & Ichibancon in North Carolina.

At the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I put making music on the backburner to focus on my DJing adventures, both on Twitch and, once things eased, live shows.  I've recently decided to jump back into the music making pool again. I'm Dermot.  I arrange chiptunes in FamiTracker, 0CC-FamiTracker and Dn-FamiTracker, and I programmed FamiTracker-related calculators in JavaScript for both halflife fades and pitch slides.  A 7-Zip archive of my FTM and NSF files along with my calculators can be downloaded from the link provided.  I update the archive whenever I make or update a chiptune.  I was originally invited by my friend Pongball to share my music on SoundCloud, and I'm grateful for her support.  But while I've made a lot of musical arrangements, I've always strictly been an amateur, never a professional, and my free SoundCloud account has been running out of space.  And in truth, I actually get more useful feedback for my music on my YouTube and FurAffinity accounts than I do on SoundCloud, so I've provided links to my chiptune collections there.
