My studio was picking up again, inspiring me to continue writing for my solo project. However, life as we knew it had changed significantly since my wife and I welcomed our second baby.

These life changes also influenced my personal perspective on music. I sought an album that struck a balance between being slow and heavy, rather than leaning too much in either direction. I craved something that offered a stable equilibrium.

Writing lyrics for this album was also unique. While I was accustomed to using metaphors, I was in the mood for a more direct approach. I wanted my message to convey my genuine feelings about the transformative changes in my life.

“Awake in November” is a song about sobriety, self-awareness, and learning to navigate life. It emphasizes living for the people you support rather than solely focusing on yourself.
