All sound in this performance is created through Ephemeron, an adaptive, non-linear feedback network. Ephemeron acts as an ‘intelligent’ instrument that continuously reacts to actions and gestures, analyzing the perceptual features of sound in real-time. As a listener-performer, your active listening engagement with these sounds directly shapes the construction of your sonic landscape.

Premiered at the  Australasian Computer Music Conference 2022 (New Zealand).

Voces resurgentes forman parte de un proyecto de investigación-creación más amplio que articula un sistema autoresonante de retroalimentación electroacústica con testimonios sobre violencias pedagógicas en entornos de educación musical formal. Su eje es el desarrollo de una viola autoresonante, mediante transductores, micrófonos de contacto y procesamiento digital en tiempo real con SuperCollider, en diálogo con un archivo oral expandido. En este contexto, tanto el feedback como las voces no se tratan como anomalía o residuo, sino como una forma activa de escucha: voces emergentes más que humanas que dislocan la agencia sonora y desbordan las lógicas del virtuosismo y el dominio técnico. A través del comportamiento no lineal del sistema, el procesamiento digital de los testimonios y la interacción entre los diferentes agentes que componen el ecosistema sonoro, se configura un ensamble con la intención de activar vínculos vibrantes entre cuerpos, memorias y territorios.

Ep.290: Vamos falar sobre a qualidade do feedback?

Had a bit-sniffer running into a guitar amp and was loping feedback through it, managed to almost start a fire, lol. The only internal damage was to the MG10xu's effects. 
Running regular instruments with effects sounds like dogshit, but whatever happened has significantly improved the disgustingness of the "no-input" feedback looping. 
Definitely going to try to do more shit like this (while i wait on getting another mixer)

This is my entry for the UJAM Halloween Special

I dont tend to do this kind of this so thought what the heck whats the worst that can happen? i dont win anything haha its the experience i guess that i wanted from this one 

its my interpretation of what was in the brief, i mean there are some seriously good entrants that have 5000 times better music theory than me aha! 

i was dying to push the bpm up because  this tempo just felt so strange but i guess thats a good thing for me because its meant to be uneasy and spooky and i got those vibes 

used literally UJAM Stranger on 95% of it , that was the main objective to use it as the main sound source and an effect called retro finisher, thats what gives it a vhs type colour on the overall mix

all the strings and the chord and plucky thing is UJAM Stranger with generous amounts of modulations everythere on every bar for variation

the electro style acid thing is a Stranger patch that does the job of sub and gritty lead, tons of modulations on that one particularly 

the Drums came from baby audio Tekno, its crazy nice for weird analogue style drums with alot of character and nuances 

so yeah, hope you like it its kinda meaty electro combined darkwave synthwave whatever lol

🙏 It was an honor to take part and to discuss the set with someone who has such a sharp ear for groove-driven techno.

🌀 The mix is built around rhythm, flow, and old-school precision, featuring a selection that balances funky hardgroove, and deep percussive energy. 
📈 Each track contributes to a gradual build-up — Starting with funky and percussive techno, the mix unfolds gradually into a fierce and energetic climax.

I was messing around with a bunch of things in fl studio on an old track and created this sort of interesting sound/arrangement. very experimental and weird but also cool and unique

I really like the way the end of this one came out, sounds like tomb music or some shit.

(Also, in order to not pay the con artists that run this platform, i might start deleting some of the older songs to make more room for new stuff, we'll see. I will not be extorted just for trying to share the things i make with others. Fuck monetary gain.)

Frank creates a unique soundscape in the transition from noise to music. In 2023, he has arranged his improv set with hints of melodies, sporadic rhythms and sound structures formed by a variety of analogue sound samples. These are integrated into the digital signals of a no-input mixer. Another element is the Super Resonator. This is a resonator guitar modified by Michael Danner. Driven by a motor, the strings are set into permanent vibration and generate a endless sustain. This leads to a radical change in the sound and handling of the instrument.

Interactive music composer / researcher / technologist, Phivos-Angelos Kollias is focusing his creative interest in applying innovative music technologies into music projects performed by musicians and algorithms for Interactive Music Performances, Virtual Reality Installations or Video Games. 

His music background is rooted in instrumental classical studies, including a PhD in interactive music composition (University Paris VIII), yet his music taste ranges from electronic music, rock/metal to noise and experimental music. He has studied composition in Cambridge (BA), London (MA) and Paris (PhD & DEA & MA) with the economic support of four foundations, and he currently lives and composes in Berlin. 

His music has received seven awards and nine nominations in international competitions, while the group projects he has participated in have won ten awards and distinctions.

Lazarus Parfait (under its current form) has been an ongoing experimental creative project since 2012—the nom de plume of a curious artist and ongoing musical diary of sorts, and the creative outlet for the entity known as LP. Lazarus Parfait’s mission is as followed: “There are no genres. There is no consistency. Only art.”
