Hey there, fellow listener ;)
My name is Lil Jaybird, just a normal boy from a suburban town in England, whom has loved music ever since he was a young, dancing to disco and funk music from his parents' stereo speaker in the lounge at the age of 7.
I have always considered music as a piece of art, and it fascinates me how music can make us feel certain emotions of nostalgia, sadness, joy, or even excitement. However, I have always found the beauty of music hidden within the subconcious ways of our everyday lives: an autumn crisp foggy morning, revising and studying hard, whilst bopping my teenage head to Lo-Fi beats such as Purrple Cat or J Dilla, with his boom bap style being one of the primary influences for my hip-hop taste and rap tongue.
On the contrary, watching a chill mellow ralaxed sunset whilst making a new House or Disco song, such as 'Violet', with ideas of Earth, Wind & Fire, Michael Jackson, or even Cassius flooding my brain, and sipping a cup of tea with a bisucit could be my idea of a good day, maybe after a hot sunny August barbecue whislt chilling to Tyler, The Creator and sunbathing in the back garden. Hence, the possible echoes of R&B and Soul in my music.
As you can already see, from the way I have personally created this story of my life to such a beautiful descriptive extent, perhaps shows you how much I take what I love seriously, and I hope you will love my music as well.
My new Disco single 'Violet' is out soon on the 28th September 2023!

Having found his roots in electronic music at a pretty young age, a true profound love for Techno and deep melodic music has never been out of the picture for this deejay from Ghent (B).

In 2015 a project was launched: broadcasting monthly podcasts as his new, Melodic alter-ego, Voetwerk.

The invigorating, solid, and dynamic Melodic Techno sounds soon caught the ears of freshly started event- and music agency EILAND 9000. They gave Voetwerk the opportunity to cast his madness over a bigger audience.

In 2020, Laurent hit the top of the charts again on BEATPORT with " Easy Lover " his collaboration with Stephan M which kept a spot in the Top 10 for many weeks.

His new single " Into You " capturing a more Deep sound has been released on Angello Ferreri's label " Mood funk " and is already one of the top 10 house track sold on Traxsource.
