House music speaks to me historically and culturally; it has deep roots in a time when society was transforming, reflecting a desire for individuality and a sense of community that sought healing through music. House music embodies spirit, love, and togetherness. This mix defines House for me because I selected tracks that inspired me when I was first learning to mix. It enveloped me with its acceptance, beautiful vibes, and soul-loving energy. To me, House music is heart, which is why I love Deep House the most—it has a deeper cadence, with a rhythm that feels organic and tribal. The vocals in House music are especially important to me because of their powerful messages."
