Last year I had the privilege to work with a talented group of dancers from the TanzHarz family. Together with the choreographer Gianni Cuccaro we crafted a 20 minute dance piece that was performed at the Domfestspiele in Halberstadt. 
I tried composing a song cycle called CANTUS that had three different parts including elements from ambient, electronica and classical music mixed with improvisations.

Put on your headphones, close your eyes, and let longing wash over you. This soundscape—composed in E Harmonic Minor—captures the ache of missing someone you can’t reach. A reverb-heavy felt piano echoes with quiet sorrow, while soft string pads and cello tones swell with emotional tension. Sparse delays leave space for memory to breathe, and plant-generated melodies drift through like fragments of a voice once close, now distant. It’s the sound of yearning—slow, unresolved, and deeply felt.

Victor Bouzard is a French pianist and composer. Coming from a musical family and a grandfather who was an orchestra conductor, he trained at the conservatory as a violinist, then discovered a passion for the piano as a teenager that he never left. Today at over 50, he decides to share his compositions which have spanned all his years, hence the album Nostalgia, Melancholy and Dreaming were born in 2024. Between some inspirations from jazz, classical or film music, Victor takes us on an emotional journey that connects him to his memories, his encounters and his friendships

The internet was made for cats, but here's some music anyway.

Richard Ulmer is an award-winning composer, music producer and multi-instrumentalist based in Vienna. His compositional work navigates between neo-classical piano music, ambient and handmade indie-pop.

He spent his formative years playing classical piano. Throughout the years, he auto-didactically learned how to sing and play various instruments. Since the age of thirteen, Ulmer has written music, explored different genres and learned how to record music. 

His professional music career he started as a composer at Sony Music Publishing Berlin. At that time he toured and recorded extensively with his former bands. A number of his songs were released by Sony Music Austria, Warner Music Germany and Universal Music Germany, achieved heavy rotation on major radio stations and entered the charts in Austria and Germany. 

Ulmer’s music was also used for commercials and TV-trailers including the CBS mystery series ‘Ghost Whisperer’ and the United Nations climate change campaign ‘Seal the Deal!’. In recent years he composed and produced music for national and international brands. Coca-Cola commissioned him to reinterpret the song ‘Taste The Feeling’ for its 90th anniversary in Austria.

In 2020 he returned to his piano-playing roots, rediscovered his love for recording analog musical instruments and voices, and started releasing music on his label Quiet Habit®. His musical career has taken many turns, but his classical background has always remained present.
