By remembering the witches who were burned at the stake, we called in our bitchcraft forces to spread fierce love 💜

Through comedic relief and pumping beats, we fueled the ritual with cosmic cackles and naughty hip rolls 🫀

In our fluffy psychedelic dreamscape, the bitchy witches led you through the mycelium portal of life and death — guiding you to find your inner witch while tickling your inner clit 🪶

You were hexed and perplexed by our duo of unreal DJs and special guests, who wove lyrical poesie into spells of love and pleasure, feeding our collective hunger for enchantment and wonder 🪄🔮

What unfolded was an interactive Gesamtkunstwerk — a total artwork of music, art, dance, clown-comedy, spell casting, silliness, sexiness, feminism, and magic. ✨

When Shulamith Firestone’s The Dialectic of Sex was published in 1970 it caused controversy. Arguing that the oppression of women lay in women’s biological capacity to reproduce, Firestone saw nature as a central barrier to woman’s liberation. Her solution was a fundamental transformation of nature itself, through the creation of artificial wombs, to free women’s bodies from the process of reproduction. Integrating the work of Marx, Freud, De Beauvoir and Engels, Firestone created a radical vision of gender liberation and utopian cybernetic feminism. Alongside influencing feminism, The Dialectic of Sex was also influential on Science Fiction literature, especially Marge Piercy’s 1976 novel, Woman on the Edge of Time.

In this session, Bradley Tuck is joined by Victoria Margree, Principle Lecturer at the University of Brighton and Author of Neglected or Misunderstood: The Radical Feminism of Shulamith Firestone. In her book, Margree argues for the continued importance of Firestone’s work. In this session we will discuss her book and Firestone’s, exploring its pertinence today.

We live in a world where everything seems to be upside down. On average, we live longer but with a lower quality of life. With more rights than ever, but more oppressed than ever. With more free time, but less efficient use of it than ever. We are educated to multitask but also to not think too much. The gap between classes is rapidly growing, while companies have already dominated an apocalyptic world, which has a brief countdown for a million other reasons. And we wonder what just happened, how we've come to this, and how we can fix it. In the time we have a cigarette, a coffee or a foot massage. We take advantage of this little break to reflect on things that destroy us, and that we are overlooking just because we do not stop to think about the simplest things. Everybody is welcome to have a break with us, and to enjoy a little introspection time. Just relax, keep your guard down and listen.

Lena und Jasmin von „Wir wollen uns lebend - Netzwerk gegen Feminizide und geschlechtspezifische Gewalt Köln" zu Gast beim FLoK - Freier Lokalrundfunk Köln e.V.

Patriarchale Strukturen, ob in der Familie oder gesellschaftlich verankert, töten! Wenn Frauen und Mädchen als „Besitz" betrachtet werden, nehmen sich männliche Täter das Recht, über ihr Leben zu entscheiden, besonders wenn sich die Frauen von ihnen ab- und ihrem eigenen Leben zuwenden. Tötungsdelikte gegen Frauen, weil sie Frauen sind, sind Feminizide. Diese sind in Deutschland weiterhin nicht als gesonderter Tatbestand anerkannt. Das jede Form von Gewalt gegen Frauen und Mädchen bis hin zu Tötungsdelikten zunimmt, zeigen auch die Polizeistatistiken, trotz einer sicherlich weiterhin hohen Dunkelziffer nicht als Feminizide erfasster Fälle.

Das will „Wir wollen uns lebend - Netzwerk gegen Feminizide und geschlechtspezifische Gewalt Köln" nicht länger schweigend hinnehmen. Wie sie sich organisieren, was die Hintergründe ihrer Vernetzungsarbeit sind und zu welchen Aktivitäten sie aufrufen, das erzählen Lena und Jasmin im Gespräch mit Christine in dieser Sendung. Inspirées du concept d’auto-histoire, nous présentons notre pièce [...Ma voix multiple qui soulève ces corps], une polyphonie d’artistes héritant des histoires algériennes et vietnamiennes en tension depuis la postcolonialité. The track doesn’t exploit the struggle—it exposes it, confronting the gap between Sweden’s polished global image and the lived experiences inside districts like Tensta. “Tensta Simulator” is both a banger and a wake-up call, blending hood-feminist urgency with sharp political edge to create a beat-driven reflection on inequality, resilience, and life at the periphery.

In the first half of the 20th century, a remarkable network of women existed in Sweden. Their activists bridged the intersection of feminism and the ecological commons, linking these issues to peace struggles in the face of war. First, they mobilized against World War I; later, they did the same against World War II. They firmly believed that there could be no peace for the people of the Earth unless they made peace with the Earth. In their 1940 manifesto, “Peace with the Earth”, they wrote, “This involves a paradigm shift and all that it entails in terms of social change.” In other words, they were struggling for nothing less than a social revolution to help overcome patriarchy, capitalism, racism, imperialism, and colonialism. And thus abolish the foundations and drivers of war. As Magdalena Taube explains in her introduction to the BG conference “Pluriverse of Peace,” the term “Pluriverse” evokes such processes and struggles.

Carmen Winant's practice uses photographic tools to centre feminist struggle, discourse and movement building, aiming to visualise the people who carry out the political — and often every quotidian — labour of care and organising on the ground. 

In this experimental lecture, Winant focuses on intergenerational feminist inheritance as both subject and strategy across her projects. Drawing from her own practice and its varied points of reference, she asks: What happens to a movement as it passes between generations? How do priorities accumulate and shift? In what ways do past failures become visible in that process? And what might these inheritances teach us about the possibilities of our present struggles for liberation?
