every platform that i'm scrolling on is getting trolled on full of doublespeak
my compiler throwing errors cause i'm on a hour of sleep
semicolons i'm withholding feel like jimmy van der beek
my encryption key been stolen data spilled out in the open
all the weed that i've been smoking got my brain a little broken -
leaky faucet dripping and my internet is tripping
and i lost a couple million on the crypto i was flipping

the future...is nuts
i'm just a couple clicks away from a webpage full of sluts
got these pedos in my government on both sides of the aisle
and the system so corrupted they won't ever see a trial
microplastics in my bloodstream got me feeling cybernetic
idiots up in my documents are making all these edits
eigenvalues eigenvectors all these matrices and tensors
making all the chips expensive can't afford my chicken tenders
i'm whinging

the future...is boss
i can summon slaves and private drivers for a fraction of the cost -
or i can be a slave or private driver for some extra
watch me nail these pinch harmonics on my fender stratocaster
my gang is hella sick at hacking systems in the buildings
data centers popping up like weeds the bytes in the quintillions
and satellites to beam the bytes live in a constellation
tightly orbiting the planet stealing all our information

ytcracker - welcome to the future

While I love traditional electric guitar sounds of all kinds, I also love trying to coax new sounds out of my gear. This is something I'm calling playing "un-guitar" and often involves "playing" my effects in realtime as I play the notes on the guitar. My friend Craig Anderton calls it playing "electronic guitar.

In this tune I'm trying new things. Some didn't come across as well as I had hoped while others surprised me with how differently I could apply them.

In the first verse, I'm playing the clean single note riff in mono and when I play a chord I momentarily activate a few stereo effects to widen the soundscape. This is quite effective when played solo but somehow it gets kind of lost in the full mix. So unless you listen on headphones, this may go totally unnoticed.

There is always a good reason to start from scratch

Day one

Hey there, fellas! Today I decided to upload an acoustic guitar improvisation of mine which I recorded on 4 March, 2026. It is basically a Jimmy Page-influenced guitar improvisation, drawing consistently from the solo studio album Outrider released in 1988 by the legendary British/English rock guitarist (who also has Irish roots, by the way, which is really, really cool). 

The first part of the improvisation revolves around several riffs from the said album while the rest is just me fooling around a bit, so to put it, trying to discover as many nice chords as possible in the process. I truly hope you will like listening to my improvisation and that it will be well worth your time. Thank you very much for stopping by as well as for your time and attention! I dove into the archives and pulled out a selection of loose Sorcerer nuggets to share with the world. Spanning a decade of jamming, these tracks are sonic reflections of life over time.

Music remains a constant—exploring these pathways has kept me happy and brought relief. As the days grow longer, the moods and feelings in these grooves resonate in my mind. It feels like the right time to share this mix.

Waves Crash Mix

I’d just got a wonderful fender Rhodes plugin. This track was originally just one long noodly jam on the blues scale for the Rhodes. It was fun. 

Yes, this is another remake from Switching You On (2007/8). And here in 2026, it’s the final remake to complete the new version of the album. 

Remarkably, I’ve kept most of the Rhodes in here. But brought into a proper tune with verse and chorus. And some hard hitting pop-tastic dance vocals. 

There are some crazy live drums in here, which I couldn’t properly tame. So they’ve taken a back seat. 

There’s also now a classic house keyboard riff to give it that retro / now feel.  The CS-v80 from Arturia. Thank you very much. 

Saying Goodbye Is More Difficult Than You Think

I grew up with bands like Pink Floyd, Camel, Kaipa and similar so every so often influences from them pop up in my music as it did in this case.

Exploring Shades

This is my cover of the intro riff of a great song by Steve Vai titled Viv Woman (which is the second track on his debut solo studio album Flex-Able, released in 1984). I recorded this basic guitar riff cover on 4 March, 2026 on my acoustic Fender guitar using a Røde microphone.
