Summer Revolution

This track plays at the intersection of beathouse and techno. It has a rich base with soft pads, melodic piano and vocal chops that transforms into a hard and rough dominant beat with an ear-catching synthesizer. The song took shape when Benjamin placed three random beats on his SPD-SX. This later became the main theme of the song.

The track draws inspiration from several artists, three of which stand out. The Blaze inspired with their clean, airy and minimalist productions, the song's synth at the beginning is inspired by “We Lost Dancing” by Fred Again, and Peggy Gou inspired with her melody carrying and percussive elements.

Wrote this song last year when I was feeling lost. No matter how hard I was trying to move forward, it felt like the past was always trying to drag me back. Horrible memories and some life altering events continued to flood my mind. This isn't a happy song but maybe you can relate to the lyrics. It is a portmanteau of his first initial and last name.
