40 track all vinyl (except the intro) mix of classic 90's Gabber/Hardcore Techno mostly from the 80 AUM sub-labels that certainly did the rounds back in Helter Skelter's Technodrome and at North (amongst many others of course). Records used are almost exclusively from the 97/98 period with maybe less than a handful released in the following year or so. As you would expect there's a fair amount of 45 (rpm) action going on as was order of the day (at least here in the UK) for the vast majority of these Dutch tunes with Don Diablo and his alter ego "The Raven" on Re-fuse Records featuring prominently which the trainspotters will instantly know inspired the title of the mix. Coming from the 80 Aum stable of course means there's tracks from the much loved (in the UK) Dutch duo Kesj & Donut who for me still have a certain air of mystique due to the very little info available about them. There's a slight shift as you pass the mid-point into some uniquely flavoured "cartoon-core" courtesy of the mighty Tieum, with a couple of tracks I've rarely if ever heard on any tape packs (of course your mileage may vary). No surprises that a couple of DC's have sneaked in too.

E-Rush - Fuck You Man !! (Tekscape Remix)

Mixes are all vinyl only. Setup is a pair of turntables and basic no frills mixer... archaic certainly but I like to keep things simple.

Been into Hardcore Techno/Gabber since '97 after getting a DJ Producer Dreamscape 23 tape and Bass Generator Hardcore Heaven Ravers Choice. Same year found a Thunderdome 1 -5 Megamix CD and discovered the Mokum series which is where my love for harder music began.

A few years later after listening to all the usual suspects found on any Technodrome lineup and events like Deathrow Techno, North etc, I started buying the tunes. Always favoured the acid laced Clarkee sets and Trance infused Dolphin ones but love all of them including "the Mu... the Mu... the Music Maker" for more 'outthere' Industrial/Speedcore stuff. Still have the same passion and level of enjoyment digging for tunes especially unsolved ID's and forgotten/hidden gems.

Subsequent years leaning towards Hard Acid & Acidcore for the more insanity inducing extreme 303's and generally darker atmosphere from the likes of Lasse Steen, Somatic Responses, Zekt, Agro, Drop Bass Network, Direct Drive, Labworks and the swamp-like-grungy acid on Cologne's DJ.Ungle Fever.
A soft spot for Mark EG, M-Zone & Vortex Hard Trance. Also the UK mish-mash Acid Trance/Hard-Nrg/Hard House sound... VCF, Choci's Chewns, Bosca Beats, Public House, Eve/Telica etc, Acid Techno - tend to stick to the 90's stuff I grew up with and Classic Trancecore - so a bit of everything really.

Much greater appreciation now for Techno/Trance & Acid spun by the likes of Aggressor, Warlock, Aztek, Colin Faver, Colin Dale, Mach 1, Trevor Rockcliffe, Daz Saund and Ribbz of course. I enjoy listening to these sets a lot more now that I'm older than I did the first time around and it opens up a whole new world of tunes to hunt down.

Michael McCrum and Aidan Fusco aka "Tekscape" first met at their local record store in Northern Ireland during the mid nineties. Instantly both guys realised that they shared the same passion for electronic music, in particular the rave scene of that time, encompassing all genres from house through to hardcore and everything in-between. 

The live recordings from local events such as Hellraiser & Vengeance, which were held in the now infamous Ulster Hall in Belfast during the early to mid-nineties exposed both guys to a diverse range of sounds. International DJ's such as Carl Cox, Lenny Dee and Pablo Gargano who were playing alongside local legends such as DJ Binman and Judge Dredd were delivering the most upfront trance, techno, hardcore, jungle & drum n bass releases of that time. The guys credit their diversity as both DJ's and Producers to their exposure to such a wide range of styles within electronic music from a very early age. 

The "Tekscape" project was born during 2019, with a series of releases to-date under labels such as Gabberhead, Mokum and D-Force Techno. Individually, with 20 years of experience behind them across many aspects of the rave scene including DJ'ing, Event Promotion and even working in local record stores, the guys intend to take the "Tekscape" project as far as it can possibly go.
