One of my favorite recent songs.  I was looking to include it in a specific album, but in that collection of tracks it didn't quite fit--until I experimented with removing the bass guitar.  That changed the mood of the track and it worked better.  I do dig the bass part so not sure what I'll do, but thought I'd share this version while I "sit with it" for a while:

Terry Finch has two projects on Soundcloud, one is a collection of songs about life and the world and my own experiences.  The other is a collection of satirical songs that go under the band pseudonym of "Bloody Bollocks", I prefer not to mix the two together.  I am assuming the listener will be able to tell which is which.
Terry Finch is a professional guitarist with many years experience in many styles.  he has travelled the world as a musician.  All the music available here are written by Terry Finch, copyrighted.  I would like to put a band together to play original material and see if some degree of success could achieved with live performances and internet exposure.  This has proved to be extremely difficult despite a very positive response from audiences. Grew up inspired by rap blues rock hip hop & jazz. 
Then in middle school I discovered my chemical romance and green day. Midwest emo rap and hip hop. 50 cents first 2 albums were the first rap albums I heard in like 6th grade, probably played them 600 times. The whole dj screw Houston scene. Andre 3k. Three6. I first heard Eminem’s first album in elementary, that shit inspired me. Then I discovered mixtape and codeine era lil Wayne and scoured limewire to find everything he ever made. Around that time I fell in love with the autotuned vocals of him and Tpain. 9th grade I listened to epiphany the first time and it changed my life.

I saw lil Wayne’s documentary short after and learned about his recording process and said, that’s going to be me. Then I found out about Midwest emo and screamo music, that was a phase, that lasted a long time, I really liked chiodos, blessthefall, alesana, etc.

Then as a sophomore I found out about curren$y and i only listened to him. His story inspired me. Not just the jetLife movement, but how he turned down working with young money and chartered his own venture. How lucky he was to grow up learning from Master P. New Orleans truly inspired me. I hope to visit some day and meet them.

My favorite “SoundCloud era” artist is lil peep. 🪽

Now I’ve got thousands of songs in a vault and my life goal is to share them with you.

I am an artist, writer and musician from Hastings, UK.  I make slightly wonky acoustic folk-pop, often with unusual guitar tunings.
I record my own songs, musical versions of my own poetry and poems by my favourite poets such as Rilke and Yeats. Lately I've been singing less and doing lots of instrumentals. At the moment I'm inspired a lot by 1980s indie acoustic music especially Felt and The Lilac Time.

Here you will find little acoustic pop songs; melancholy, dreamy-folk things. Sometimes some jangly, fuzzy rock tunes or ambient pieces as well. Work-in-progress demos to finished tracks, informal playlists to official album releases. Enjoy.
