Optimism couldn’t last, reality 
It felt like the start of a conspiracy 
A project made for a new Century 
Hegemony

We knew then we’d unleashed Hell, insanity 
Descending and we could feel the gravity 
It felt like a new depth of depravity 
To kill and to die for ideology
To dress up a hatred in theology
The irony

The Holy Land’s in flames again
Genocidal Godly men of enmity  
Consumed by unending capacity
For vengeance served cold with mendacity 
They justify acts of atrocity
No conscience to quell their ferocity 
Brutality 

Fascism’s back at Europe’s door 
Threats of thermonuclear war, monstrosity
With egos of boundless voracity 
These tyrants and clowns spell catastrophe
They Ignore the wake-up call to all humanity 
This planet is facing calamity
A tragedy
