Marina Cantacuzino MBE is an author, broadcaster and founder of The Forgiveness Project. Shining a light on restorative processes, the charity works with personal narratives to show how individuals and groups can break cycles of harm, reach across divides, and see humanity in those who have harmed them. 
 
Manda Patel is an inspiring teacher and speaker, who has dedicated her life to studying the simple, spiritual truth that lives behind the philosophy of the Brahma Kumaris. She is based in the Global Retreat Centre, near Oxford, where she has played a pivotal role for many years.

Sure, they’re just words, but words can sting.
Sometimes they don’t mean anything. 
But sometimes they hurt, a spit in the eye. Sometimes the truth, sometimes a lie.
Sometimes they open up wounds that can never be healed.

I’ll try to forget what you’ve done in the past. 
I’ll try to forget, but forgetting don’t last. 
If it eases the pain, I’ll not say it again, but that doesn’t mean it’s not real.
I’ll try to forget, but I’m guessing you know,
Forgetting’s not easy, it’s painful, it’s slow.
If that’s what it takes, I’ll forget your mistakes.  Hmm. And you forget mine.
