Der Dokumentarfilm »Forgotten Voices« beginnt mit Bildern junger Menschen, die an den Straßenprotesten in der sudanesischen Hauptstadt Khartum im Jahr 2022 und der dortigen Dezemberrevolution teilnehmen. Doch hauptsächlich erzählen Vertriebene ihre Geschichten, das Filmmaterial wurde aus zehn Ländern gesammelt. Dabei ist der Film zu einem Zeugnis des blutigen Krieges geworden, der auf die Revolution folgte.
