The sound of a several, sticky pieces of tape was used to enhance the Kicks, and for all kinds of percussion. Also a basketball, whirling objects swung by a microphone. A reverse vibraphone and a few synths and sinewaves. Plus some funny drum sounds by Sonic Charge.

The endoplasm is the innermost part of the Cytoplasm. Just around the nucleus. The urbun area right around Time Square so to speak. The most traffic in all of the cell, where the fluid atmosphere becomes granular. This place is tight and alive, day and night.

The Golgi Apparatus is the third largest organelle of the cell. (Organelles = organs of single cells)

It has three main functions:
a) A recycling factory, that transforms existing proteins, as well as protein waste products from processes within the cell. 
b) Packages these new reshaped proteins with a material that protects them from harm. 
c) A huge freight station, that ships these repackaged proteins outwards of the cell, towards other parts of the body, other cells etc. to fullfill a million different functions at their destiny.

Tierra Eterna is a collaborative project by Edvina Fahlqvist and Christos Papasotiriou exploring the social and cultural similarities between two significant traditional music forms: Spanish Flamenco and Greek Rebetiko. They also collaborated with Barcelona-based flamenco singer Laura Mateo for this project.
It investigates the roots of both musical traditions and presents them as an audio narrative highlighting the elements that connect them. The composition’s main idea explores Intangible Heritage and its link to the sounds reflecting each culture’s journey.
Through everyday life, music, and the ephemeral elements that shape our world, the project portrays the realities of these communities. Developing these sounds through new media allows the artists to establish new connections, create fresh interpretations, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the music.

Tierra Eterna

This piece explores the relationship between humans and the natural world through recordings of water, birds, insects, and voice. Its structure follows the transformations of water - from boiling to liquid to ice and back to vapor -shaping the flow of the soundscape. I have used voices from Flamenco, Swedish kulning, Galician song, and market calls amongst others, and have only used recorded material and audio processing, with no synthetic sources.

Raw Nerve is a collection of short Electroacoustic works composed on a boat, on the Nile river, during the initial weeks of the Arab Spring in Egypt 2010. The composer was unaware of the significance at the time.

A song about times when I feel outside of myself. It can be unsettling or weird, but also sometimes freeing. Other than vocals, kick, and piano, all instruments in this song were made from sounds recorded in a span of 10 minutes around my apartment. Thanks to Brian Funk and Ableton for a cool found sounds speedrun challenge! The photo is my feet in slippers from a hotel in Madrid.
