This new Christmas song looks at the birth of Christ from a very humble and human perspective.  It touches on the awe and uncertainty of the people who surrounded and protected him at that time, and the age and significance of the building that sheltered them all.  The recording of this piece, performed by the wonderful PUCS Choir (Western Australia) under the direction of Sarah Mills-Menogue, was generously supplied by the ABC Classic FM Choir Hour team. Fun Facts:
Four is a song that was inspired by a dream that seemed to have four separate acts.
It had rather a grand scope and several of George's friends seemed to love this song, despite its apparently nonsensical lyrics.
In 1985 it became a part of Wud's repertoire.
George had heard bands such as Led Zeppelin, Blue Oyster Cult and Black Sabbath perform a song where everyone but the guitarist left the stage and the guitar played some sort of solo.
This was incorporated into this song, to represent the time and the upcoming change in feel following an event in described in the lyrics.
The piano was recorded at a very low gain for reasons now unknown, unfortunately.
There is something causing a massive hiss on the vocal mic, possibly a low battery in the Selmer Scintallation reverb unit.

I'm a songwriter, with a particular interest in unaccompanied (a capella) choral music.  The sheet music for all these songs is now available on my website @ Singceliamayers.net and some of the easy scores are FREE.  I've directed a small choir called Mothersong for more than twenty years, and we have never had a piano to help us in all that time! We are now brefugees, living in brexile very near the border of the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. If you live in (the crumbling remains of) the uk, do yourself a favour and leave. The upgrade in life quality will blow your mind.

* What do we stand for as a label?

We support all independent musicians who are doing something we find interesting. Our team members all have formal music education qualifications.

We are against corporate brainwash muzak, their puppet friends in the mass media, and many other corporate activities. We will fight their desecration of music until either it stops or we die. 

We believe in helping others in the face of corrupt laws and a broken system. We are pro democracy, green energy and free speech.

We're politically liberal. We cannot support the republicans, maga or gun violence in the usa. We don't see there's any real difference, other than in name, between the christian far right in the USA and the taliban in Afghanistan.

In the uk we are broadly pro LibDem/Green/Labour/SNP. We are VERY anti-tory, bnp, ukip, and any of their friends and associates. We have no trust at all in the uk right wing press monopoly and the bbc. Beware the bbc and its claims of neutrality. It is the propaganda mouthpiece of the tory party. It even charges a propaganda tax called the licence fee. But we like Test Match Special and Radio 6, so does that make us hypocrites...? Hmm.

We support independence for Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Cornwall. We support the individual and the underdog. We are anti-putin and his war, and pro-Ukraine.
