Finally played the annual fourth of July party in Venice Beach. I started this set with like 10 people & ended with 200. This set contains some fun Indie Dance tracks, some sexy dance tracks and a little tech house. I hope you enjoy this set. I really had the best time. Can't wait for next year.

Fireworks are used throughout the world as a means of representing togetherness, celebration, and joy. Flashes and Flames is a musical depiction of fireworks and all the emotions that they embody. Through the use of the Lydian mode, upward motion, and a lively pace this work not only represents the idea of fireworks themselves but also the excitement and energy of those who sit and watch.

My primary interest is songwriting which I’ve been doing since I was a kid.  I have some music background but I primarily play the piano and have no formal training in it at all.  I learned to play by ear. 

I prefer to write melancholy over frolicking pop.  Despite this, I consider myself a chipper person most of the time. 

Some of my favorite artists are: Elton John, Ben Folds, Sufjan Stevens, Diana Krall, Sarah McLachlan, Rufus Wainwright, Joni Mitchell….

Noah D. Taylor is a composer, orchestrator, and arranger of music for the concert hall and for media. 

As the staff arranger for the West Point Band, Noah's compositions and arrangements have been featured on CBS, NBC, and Fox News. Noah was the lead composer and music producer for the 2017 and 2018 Macy's July 4th Fireworks soundtracks, aired on NBC.

Ben then started band in 5th grade picking up the clarinet, and currently studies with Dr. David Gresham. Ben continues to regularly perform on both clarinet and violin in a wide range of ensembles from band, orchestra, and small chamber groups. 



It was not until high school when Ben started taking composition seriously.  Since then Ben has written primarily for wind instruments  in chamber settings but has plans to eventually write for large ensembles as well as chorus, and strings. 



Ben is currently studying at Illinois State University with Dr. Alex Stephenson, Dr. Carl Schimmel, and Dr. Roy Magnuson, with additional help from Steve Danyew, Todd Stalter, and Dr. Jennifer Jolley.  He is pursing a degree in music composition and music education.
